Theses curtain rods are great with blackout curtains to block out almost all light. Love the way it allows the curtain to wrap around to the wall to block out the light.
The rods work fine and are decent for the money, however, on the back it will tell you to drill a "5/16" diameter pilot hole in drywall." ABSOLUTELY DO NOT DO THIS. The drywall anchors are smaller than this (somewhere around 1/4"), will fall right through the wall, and you will be left with a useless, large hole in your wall. You have to either: a) drill a smaller pilot hole like the 1/16" recommended and just use the strangely-long screw with no anchor (but you risk the rod getting pulled out of the wall if it is not in a stud), b) drill a 3/16" or 1/4" hole and attempt to use the included anchors (I do not know which size is better, I did not try this), c) buy actual drywall anchors for $2-$3 at a hardware store. This is what I did. After buying and using real anchors, the rods are fine. They just ended up costing me a few more dollars, multiple trips to a hardware store, and a lot more time than expected. I recommend starting with real drywall anchors and not going through the struggles and panic of trying to use the included ones.

We've bought 5 in total, 2 have broken under the weight of normal curtains.
We bought 3 of these for a bedroom, One broke almost immediately so we exchanged it. That one has now broken so we’re now at 5. These rods are extremely poor quality and, as others have said, can’t hold the weight of normal curtains. Hoping this 5th one lasts a bit longer until we can replace all of them. Terrible quality, shouldn’t be carried by BBB
I was obsessed with buying this product because it was the style I wanted. I searched everywhere for other options, but no such luck to find anything in stock. The shipping was insanely slow leaving the warehouse. The quality is *very* cheap plastic. I honestly haven’t ever had a rod this lightweight before. We have it extended to about 54” inches with a center bracket. I wouldn’t suggest taking this out to 72”. However, it hasn’t broken yet. My curtains are tab top so metal rings scratching won’t be an issue. Overall, I just give this a big BUYER BEWARE WARNING. Know what you’re committing to…
DO NOT BUY this product. The moment I placed an weight on it (i.e., the curtains) it just broke apart. The curtains were not even that heavy but the rod is so poor designed it just breaks when any weight is added.
Easy installation and looks great.
This is an expensive cheaply made curtain rod. The wall plates are plastic and the rod is cheap and feels like it is going to break with the curtains on it. Even with the center support on (also cheap plastic). It is at the smallest size too so I can't imagine if you had to extend it. I will be returning this but I am extremely annoyed that I have to fill holes now.

These are nice blackout curtain rods. However. They didn’t project out far enough to clear my blinds underneath. We have new double pane windows and they take up more room in the opening. Sadly I had to return the rods.
We bought three of these for a bay window. Instructions were poor, but assembly and installation were easy to figure out. The rods but up against each other for the bay window. Drapes wrap around corners of rods nicely and block extra sunlight when not wanted. Would recommend.
