Cetaphil® 1.7 fl. oz. Sheer Mineral Face Liquid Sunscreen

I just didn't love this one! Leaves a heavy white cast and is terrible under makeup. It does a good job at not looking oily/ greasy but in turn makes makeup on top look dry and flaky. It didn't irritate my sensitive skin at all though which is a plus.

I spent so much time to find a mineral sunscreen, and this is IT!! It is so easy to spread out and brighten your skin naturally! I can easily put this sunscreen around my eyes without irritation. Cetaphil, please continue to make this excellent product!!

I was very hesitant to try this sunscreen since it contains dimethicones. Many sunscreens that have this ingredient pills so bad on me, but not this one! This sunscreen feels amazing, no white cast, and glides over my face effortlessly. I will keep buying! Quick note, I have dry skin and this sunscreen didn’t make me feel drier.

My review was moderated (no idea why) so this is a Revised review. I grew up in SW FL and use SPF every day, rain or shine. This SPF is great, it doesn't leave a white cast and it doesn't irritate my sensitive skin, doesn't make my eyes water. I apply 1/4 teaspoon to face/neck, it's easy to apply, it leaves my skin feeling soft and it wears well under makeup. It settles in after 10-15 minutes and feels very smooth, not sticky at all. Will definitely repurchase.

This is a fantastic price point for an SPF 50 that performs this well. I hope Cetaphil can make a (lightly) tinted version of this too. This has just the right texture and finish on my skin, but leaves a slight white cast. I'm OK with that and wearing some light makeup over it works fine (not perfect, but good enough). I am a hardcore SPF-user and I would hesitate to recommend this to my family/friends who aren't because of the white cast. Otherwise, I would be telling everyone to get this. Works just as well or better than SPFs 3x the price. I will definitely purchase again, but will also keep buying from other brands as well for days when I need a tinted option for a more flawless look.

For months I have been using so many different sunscreens trying to find one that won't burn/irritate my face, won't break me out and also won't leave an ashy white cast! THIS IS THE ONE also its SPF 50, mineral, and affordable?! Just wow! The wear of it feels nice like I'm not wearing sunscreen at all (very elegant in my opinion). I agree with most users/reviewers please do not discontinue. This brand doesn't disappoint for me. A suggestion though a bigger size would be nice at least 3 oz.

This and your Daylong sunscreen are the only 2 sunscreens that don’t break me out and don’t irritate my skin. Also, they are the only mineral-based sunscreens that don’t suck all the moisture from my face. I’m really glad I can purchase this one now instead of having to order Daylong! This one wears well under makeup and does not irritate my eyes.

I’m on prescription retinoids and my skin is extremely sensitive/dry right now. I’ve been trying different sunscreens for weeks now & this is by far the best un-tinted one on the market (i haven’t tried the creams, but the LIQUID- omg!). It’s the only sunscreen I’ve tried that DOES NOT PILL and barely leaves a white cast. I love this and it makes sunscreen enjoyable for me to apply. In general, I have combination skin (dry but only oily on my forehead & nose) and it’s so hard to find a sunscreen that is moisturizing enough but doesn’t leave me oily throughout the day. The ingredients in this liquid version are spot on and I hope they NEVER change the formula. The only thing that would make this better is if it came in a bigger size. PLEASE make a tinted version of this!!!!!
