After doing some research I bought the Chantal pans because they are suppose to be nickel free. Just thought I'd try them out if they are suppose to be safer for your health. I never cook anything above medium heat on my electric range (pans show 225-240 F when measured). Using laser thermometer the pans read warmer around edge vs middle normally... no big deal. Every pan seems to be thicker in middle though, slight raise in middle of every pan if that matters a lot to you. The problem I have is that every single pan after 3 uses began to chip. I only hand wash my pans using a soft sponge. I didn't even know stainless pans COULD chip. Its like the cooking surface is such a thin sheet of stainless, and so brittle, that it just flakes off. I can see the copper under first layer. I don't use metal utensils in pan while cooking, never touched them with anything like brillo, and never stuck them in cold water while they were still hot. So there's no reason for the pans to be chipping other then it being incredibly bad stainless steel. The pans are extremely heavy which is nice, and their customer support offered to replace all the pans which is nice. But I didn't bother because if every pan flaked and replacements are made of same quality materials then surely they would be trash as well. I feel like Chantal's customer service might bump the review up to a 2 since they were really nice, but in the end we're grading the actual product so had to give a 1 star.

This is an amazing pan! Cooks beautifully. Cleans up well too. Just wish there was a 12” available.
I wanted something that was safe to cook in. It isn't 12 inch, but if you're looking for a 10 inch pan, this is a good one. You will need a universal lid for it as it doesn't come with one, and I'm not sure than you can put it in the oven.
Super heavy, even cooking, chef quality skillet
Handy little skillet for one or two people. Avoids toxic non-stick chemicals being leached into food. Works well on induction stovetop. Home delivery very convenient.
Had bought the set a few months ago for my new induction cooktop. Beautiful, durable and works like a charm on my cooktop!
