Chemex® 6-Cup Pour Over Coffee Maker

Highly recommended — best cup of coffee I’ve ever had.

I like the Chemex and purchased one with a desire to lessen my carbon footprint. I was using a Keuring which I loved but adding A LOT of plastic to our landfills. The filters for the Chemex are not cheap and oddly enough one can only purchase the bleach free natural filters at World Market. BB and Beyond does not carry them. The Chemex is dishwasher safe but a bit clumsy in trying to securely fit it on my rack. It makes great coffee!

It’s attractive and makes good coffee. A little hard to remove coffee stains after a while. You have to be very careful using it. I accidentally knocked the rim with a cup and had to replace it when a crack formed.

I started using a Chemex for coffee in the early 1970s. I drifted away sometimes -- to various electric coffee makers -- but I always go back to Chemex. Is it the filters? Coffee seems to taste better when made in a Chemex. This is a good price, too, esp. with the coupon.

I gave up on finding a machine that made a stellar cup of coffee. This is the best way to make it. You control how fast the water is added, you control the water temperature, you control how many grounds are needed. We use a stainless steel perforated cone which we use with a paper filter which rests in the carafe. We have it down to a science. I can see how some people just want fast and easy coffee, that person should probably just get a Mr Coffee I suppose. But if a delicious cup of coffee is the main goal, this is how you do it. You can't find these in every store, so it is so nice to walk into a BB&B and just grab it off the shelf.

Love this pot !! It gives me more counter space without a machine sitting on my counter 24/7. Also gives you the convinance Of making a fresh pot of coffee any time and any where, without the hassle of a large coffee maker .

Bought this forever ago and never reviewed it. I was using a plastic pour-over that sat on top of the cup. My wife purchased this as a gift for me, and I’m so glad she did! Easy to use, easy to clean, and makes the most amazing cup of coffee!! Comes in a size for everyone. I use the chemex (pour over), French press, and AeroPress, and the chemex is best unless traveling. The chemex, freshly roasted and ground beans, and you are having an experience like no other!
