I love this set! The knives were shipped to use already sharp! They cut things with very little effort. They glide easily! I love the built in knife sharpener! The steak knives are awesome! We don’t ever put out knives in the dishwasher! We always hand wash them. The one time our son put one of the knife in the dishwasher, I was expecting to have to sharpen it from getting dull in the dishwasher. It didn’t!! These knives don’t rust either even after leaving it in the sink with water on it. The reason I gave it only 4 stars is because the scissors that are included in the set are garbage. They are extremely stiff when trying to cut and sometimes stick together while trying to cut. They feel very cheap and not sturdy! Unfortunately, I don’t like the fact that the scissors can’t be taken apart to clean very easily. But you can always get different utility scissors. Other than that, this is a great knife set and the price was incredible! The wood block that the knives and scissors set in, is gorgeous with a very smooth finish. It’s medium weight. Not to light and not to heavy!
Because of the rounded instead of flat handle on the knife, you can’t put them on the plate because they slide off and the handle falls into the food, making it sticky. I am not satisfied with the design.

Knife set is nice but looks like the skimped on quality. If you try to use the sharpener the black over tend to come off and the small nails pop out that hold it on

I bought this knife set as a wedding gift in July. The groom told the bride it was his favorite gift they got from the whole wedding!
These are the best knives I have ever found. The set is complete, you do not need for any other kind if knife. They are not only classy in style but durable, sharp as can be will make your kitchen life much easier. I was a tiny bit put off that the directions said not to put them in the dishwasher. I believe that it was so that they would last a long time not that they weren't dishwasher safe but a little inconvenience of having to hand wash them separately from my dishes will be worth it when, I believe, that this set will be the last one I will need have. So worth every penny.

Absolutely Amazing! I have been wanting a good Knife Block set for quite some time but was afraid to spend the money and it be junk. These knives are amazing and great quality!

I was looking for a high-quality knife set that wouldn't break the bank and I definitely found it in the 18-piece block set. Aside from the set being beautiful (acacia wood, black handles), it is compact on my counter top and well organized for so many knives and tools. The knives are definitely sharp so be careful using them the first time. I was concerned about the scissors as others have found them awkward where they sit in the block. After using them the past few weeks, I haven't stuck myself yet on the ends of the scissors that stick out. But I also don't use the knives as much that are immediately above the scissors. I do LOVE the scissors as you can take them apart when cleaning. So I haven't found the scissors to be a problem for my use. This is truly a great, quality set and I'm extremely happy with my selection/purchase.
