I have had been searching for a sheet set that is not microfiber (which I find warm for sleeping) and that would not kill my budget. I prefer cool cotton sheets. These sheets are 100% cotton. On the first washing (in cold water) and in low temperature, I discovered that the sheets lose that "sateen" shiny look and come out rather wrinkled. I think they would look fine if you ironed them, but if you want 100% cotton, then I expect they will be wrinkled. But the sheets stay cool and soft. I slept like a baby in them.

Summary: they don't reduce allergies for the people in my family, but they're still nice sheets. I purchased these because I was intrigued by the concept of sheets reducing allergies, knowing it was probably a gimmick. My husband and I both suffer from seasonal allergies, pet allergies and dust allergies. We've been using them for over a month and I don't think they actually help at all with allergies at all, we've seen no change in ours. Regardless, I like the sheets themselves. They have a nice thickness to them (I hate paper thin sheets) and they are soft but not too soft (I also don't like really slick sheets). These are also at a reasonable price point, which was also a positive for me. I can't comment on wear as I haven't had them long enough to test it, but they've been washed a couple of times and there aren't any loose strings or unraveled stitches.

I wash and dried them. Had the settings on both machines for bedding and they came out soooo wrinkled!! Wasn't pleased with that at all!

The thread count is not good. Rough to the touch.
