The engraving is not visible, the letters have not color. Ordered this item as a Christmas gift after I purchased one for myself a last month and it was lovely. This one, not so much. So disappointed.
Can't even read the personalization. NOTHING like the picture. They say that wood species are different, and yes they are. BUT the picture that they show you can see the personalization and the TWO I received you can't. I would call this worthless for what I bought it for.

The stain on the saying wasn’t thick at all. The cutting is good but it’s barely readable. This was a wedding gift and I’m not completely happy with it.
Better than I expected. Absolutely beautiful the inscription in the board is perfect no flaws. Cutting board itself beautiful no flaws. Super impressed, excited to give to my mother-in-law for her birthday / housewarming. Beautiful presentation with box thank you so much and will continue to be a loyal customer. I have purchased a couple of similar items from this website. My husband asked why we didn?t have one. Love the quality on these. Not sure I really want to use, but high quality enough to be used. I gave 4 stars because the carving was not stained dark enough. Very uneven and hard to read. Especially smaller print. Would have liked more of a contrast. Otherwise, very pleased with purchase.
