I am 63 years old and have never treated myself to decent cookware or to a decent set of knives. A few days ago I finally did after doing hours of research about cookware and knives. I didn't want to order anything online because I knew it would be a hassle if I had to return it so I went to my local BB&B store. I wasn't actually looking for an entire set of cookware. I only needed a decent pot to cook pasta in. One that had a heavy bottom. After looking at all the pots and the prices I finally decided to go ahead and buy a set of cookware. I knew that Cuisinart is a good brand and I also knew from what I read that are very durable, have heavy bottoms and are guaranteed for life. I bought the set. I also was looking for some good knives and couldn't afford to pay $100 for one knife so I bought a block set of Henckel knives. They are serrated but that's fine with me because I didn't want to be sharpening them. Before I used any of these items I watched videos on how to season the cookware and how to take care of the knives. Care of the knives is pretty straight forward. Don't leave them in the sink to soak, don't try to chop down a tree with them. Basically, clean them, dry them thoroughly and put them back in the block. The pans should be seasoned before use. Well, wash and dry them first. If you season the pans properly nothing will stick and to me this was pretty amazing and hard to believe. I've used teflon pans and cast iron skillets for years and always thought that stainless would make food stick. After seasoning my pans I am very surprised at how slick the surface is. In fact, this morning I cooked bacon in a larger skillet, no sticking and in my omelet pan I cooked scrambled eggs. They slid right out onto my plate. You have to take care of these nice pans. If food does stick the best way to clean them is to use Barkeeper's Friend. Put some water in the pan once it's cooled, make a paste and use a sponge that hasn't been used with dish soap. Rinse. I haven't used the pots yet but I'm sure they're great. Also, the cookware looks awesome. It's beautiful. Take it from someone who doesn't really like to cook. Treat yourself to some quality cookware and quality knives and you will hate cooking much less.
I read all the reviews about how easy this cookware is to clean. I followed all the guidelines for washing and seasoning before use, and used low heat on my induction cooktop. Every pot and pan is left with stuck on food and white stains on the bottom. Help! Can you use a scouring pad? How did you all find them so easy to clean?

My adopted mom received this set and absolutely loves it, she loves the value and the weight of them, not heavy and not light weights.
After one use, one of the pots has black spots on the bottom (not food remnants) that will not come off with anything. Used my last stainless steels pots for 20 years with no problem. Not happy.
If you follow the directions- use medium to low heat only, do not scour (which if you use low heat, there will be no need to scour), and soak the insides with warm soapy water,- you will love these pans. I’ve cooked oatmeal, vegetables, cheesy scrambled eggs, pork chops, and hamburgers and nothing stuck or discolored the pans. It was difficult for me to not put the stove on high, but I followed directions and my pots and pans look as good as the day I received them.
I haven’t had them long but so far they are great! Bought to replace an old scratched up set with non stick coating and wanted to get away from that
Love the way it looks. I have used this set for a couple of months. Does it look like it did when it came out of the box - No. But that is an unrealistic expectation. The cookware performs well. Follow the directions for clean up and the pans will look good for a long time!

Cooks evenly and easy clean up
I bought this set sight unseen out of necessity. There are several reasons I wish I could get something better: after a few uses, the insides of the pans have odd pockmarks; the handles are very flat and narrow, so when the pan itself is full and heavy, it’s not comfortable to hold or carry; when the pans are clean, I can still see shadows of stains that don’t come out no matter what I use. They are just OK. They do the job.
