Owned a Keurig for over 5 years. When it was time to get a new one, tried another Keurig, but it had not been improved upon and was worse than the first one. Decided to try the Cuisinart ss-6 and so glad we did. It's compact and seems to heat the water and is ready to brew almost before you can put the resevoir in place.
I am an idiot for buying this thing over and over. I love the look of it, so when the 1st one I purchased broke in a few days, I got another one. That happened again, after the 3rd purchase, I was afraid BB&B would think I was doing something wrong, so I returned the 3rd one directly to Cuisinart. I've never had such a bad experience with a coporation and return. They see nothing wrong with leaving people without a coffee pot for 3 weeks and asking them to pay for shipping their broken product back to them. DO NOT BUY A CUISINART PRODUCT IF YOU WANT IT TO WORK FOR MORE THAN A FEW DAYS TO WEEKS OR IF YOU CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Coffee leaks out inside the area the pod is housed and becomes stagnant. It is difficult to clean this area. A bit of a redesign could correct this issue.
This coffee maker is not only attractive it makes a great cup. Choose from strong, medium, or light. And your coffee is hot. Brand X we had to warm up in the microwave. Not this maker.
A great single serve coffee maker. Best feature is that the coffee is HOT, not all similar pots produce really hot coffee. It is easy to use, and sleek, looking nice on the counter.
I purchased this thinking it would be great and compact. But it actually leaks for no reason. I purchased the inserts to use if I’m not using k-cups and it leaks right around the base of where the coffee comes out.

I bought this Cuisinart SS-5 coffee maker wanting to use my own coffee and bought what I thought was a 2 pack of compatible Keurig resuable filter cups for about twelve bucks (minus coupon), since they were out of the Cuisinart one and the sales clerk said it they were compatible. They weren't. Now I discovered that if you want to buy the filter cups, and I wanted more than one so I would have an extra if the other was dirty and I hadn't run the dishwasher yet, you have to buy the Cuisinart ones. The cheapest ones I found online (at the major online retailer, I think you can guess since I can't mention their name) are about twenty five bucks. That's more than 25% of what I paid for the coffee maker. Had I known this, I would never have bought a Cuisinart coffee maker. I imagine it's the same for all they're coffee makers. What a ripoff!!! I'll never buy a Cuisinart product again.
I used to have brewers from the "other" brand. They kept failing, and I got tired of warranty replacements and returns. I purchased this SS-6 for my office space. I love it!!! I works with the Cuisinart water filter, it has a 48 oz reservoir, the coffee comes out hot. I have read users saying there is coffee ground getting in the mug, well, push the k-cup down first, so it pierces the bottom, then close the top. I have another Cusinart in the kitchen, which is the SS-20, very similar to the SS-15 which BB&B sells, just the SS-20 has a thermal carafe. It makes a carafe on the left side and takes k-cups on the right. That makes everyone in my house happy, just that the coffee in the SS-6 comes out much hotter.
Have been using almost daily for a month. No problems whatsoever. Water is filtered, no leaking, no dripping, coffee is nice and hot. (I bought in the Umber color which seems to be unavailable now. Love the color and would like all my counter applicances in Umber.)
