Forming An Opinion Lerch ·

This is first large capacity Processor I have used. The only problem I have found with it is...it doesn't give me enough time to form an opinion. I assemble it..turn it on and before I can observe and think about it, its done.Well heck, thats not any fun. I mean push down on the bar and Done..Now I got to clean it up. Thats a breeze too. So...you end up with all this time saved. Then What?

Older model better than the new one FLHomeChef ·

The machine works well, however, I prefer the original Cuisinart food processor (c. late 1990s) to this new model. The chopping/mixing/dough blade sits too high in the 14-cup work bowl of the new model, which results in incomplete and inadequate mixing of certain foods. The s-blade of my old Cuisinart food processor rested flat in its bowl. In the new 14-cup model, for example, blending flour, butter, and milk together for a quiche crust has resulted in overly wet and lumpy mixtures that require additional adjusting outside of the mixing bowl (a problem I never had with my old Cuisinart food processor). When making salsa in the new Cuisinart, large pieces of vegetables are left unincorporated because the chopping/mixing/dough blade rests too high in the work bowl. Again, I never had a problem with food being unincorporated after blending in my old Cuisinart food processor. Another reason I wish that I still had my old Cuisinart is that it was a more elegant machine to look at and, more importantly, to use. The new food processor is overly cumbersome to assemble. Perhaps there is a learning curve, perhaps I will learn to love this new food processor with more use. At this time it feels clunky to the touch. The new safety features with the feed tube and small and large pushers make the machine feel awkward. Connecting the stem to the shredding and slicing disc is also clunky and cumbersome. I wish I still had my old machine because it was better than this new one.

Much improved over my old version of the same thin IndyJane ·

I was initially distressed that I had to replace my 25 year old food processor because the plastic parts kept breaking. This one uses the same base and all the same blades, just with a redesigned workbowl and lid that will probably be less prone to breakages. I’ve replaced various plastic parts several times before on my prior model and just decided to stop doing that. But this new one is both quieter and more solid in operation than my old one. So I’m very glad I replaced the whole thing.

Poor design changes MMP72 ·

The food processor does its job, but the design has changed for the worse. There's no longer a flat work bowl cover (which is the cover I used most of the time). Not only does that make storage much more cumbersome, because the current cover is so big, but it is also much trickier to get everything locked into place to use the appliance. It's very frustrating! If I could have replaced parts on my old processor to keep using it to avoid having to buy this, I would have.

It does what it says in the woods ·

I used it to shred zucchini for its first job. It did well. I had a problem figuring out the safety feature switch, put the storage bowl on backwards and couldn't get it to work. Finally my son figured it out for me.

Another great food processor from Cuisinart WineGirlNC ·

Powerful food processor! While I miss my old (ca. 1990) Custom 11, this is just as good if not better.

Great Product! Handy Kitchen Assistant. LoneStarLass ·

Great Kitchen Assistant! Just wish the feed tube was a little larger. I make home fries w/onions & bell peppers regularly. So, I'd prefer to insert the entire potato at once instead of having to cut it in half first. Works great for everything else though. I'd recommend it to a friend or family member.

Not only is the processor as good as you can buy from many test sites, but the company that produces it is one of the most outstanding company with there warranties.
