We considered a smaller unit capability but are sure glad we purchased this size. Whether the culinary project small, medium or large this unit is well equipped for easing the task and expediting the process.

BEWARE - Cuisinart does not stock all parts Cheryl ·

I have had a Cuisinart food processor for 35 years and still works like a charm. I needed one for our country house and finally broke down and bought this model. As someone else already mentioned, the older models are sturdier and easier to use. Due to COVID, I had this one delivered. In the old model the one push assembly locks in. This model comes with three. Two lock in place, but the center does not. When I removed the top, that middle push assembly fell out and cracked creating a jagged edge which you can cut yourself on. I called Cuisinart to request a replacement part and I was on hold for 35 minutes. The representative was not knowledgeable and did really not care about helping. She informed me that they do not stockt hat part, Assembly Pusher 1(b), and I could buy it on Amazon. She said they do not stock many parts, so you have to hope you can find it on Amazon. This part was not available on Amazon so I am stuck with a broken part on a week old machine. The plastic bowls are more flimsy than the older models. The bowls are smoked, making it difficult to see how well you have chopped something. It has a strong motor, so just a few pulses and you may have chopped, minced more than you wanted. For example, if you want chunky tomato pieces, do not fill the large bowl. You must process only 1/3, otherwise the tomatoes at the bottom will be chunky and the top 1/2 is not chopped at all. If you try to pulse a little more, the bottom tomatoes become a puree and the top is hardly chopped. The bowl and lid locking mechanisms make it difficult to close the lid and so if you have any arthritis, it is difficult to manage. My old model is a DLC-7 and performs much better and with much more control over how much you want something chopped and the bowl was clear. Bigger is not better. I'd rather deal with pureeing 4 batches of carrot soup, than have a larger bowl that unevenly chops the contents. This may seem like a great deal and a good price, especially with the 20% off BBB coupon, but I would never have bought this. Because of COVID, I do not want to return it to the store and it will be costly to ship back for a refund. Now knowing that Cuisinart does not stock all the parts for its machines, I will never buy another Cuisinart again.

Missing the old Cuisinart Chef ·

This machine is big! It takes up a lot of room in your kitchen. It is a good machine however the parts are hard to keep clean because there are too many unreachable cavities. I dropped the small tube and it shattered. It is a slippery, cheap, thin plastic. If I were to purchase it again, I would have gone with the smaller one.

Disappointing. BB&B Customer ·

I purchased this Cuisinart to replace my old one that finally died. I like that the bowl is larger but it doesn’t seem to mix as well. It should also have come with the shredding blade, as well as the slicing blade.

Not like it used to be BB&B Customer ·

I bought this Food Processor to replace the classic 11 cup Cuisinart that I previously used (the cover had broken and I could not find a replacement cover, so I bought a new machine). The new food processor is definitely NOT the same quality. The base is lightweight making it easier to move but that is about the only benefit. The motor does not seem as strong. It's harder to see through the bowl now that the chute is in the front. The attachments are all flimsy plastic. The adjustable slicing disc broke before I even used it, while trying to adjust the slicing width. The bowl has notches making it less smooth when using a spatula to scrape the sides. All in all, I miss my old machine. A food processor is the one kitchen appliance that I rely on for most of my kitchen tasks. This machine is a disappointment.

a great kitchen tool BB&B Customer ·

This unit does everything it claims and more! A wonderful piece of equipment and it takes the place of several others so we can pare down what we have in the kitchen.

Parts break easily with cautious use BB&B Customer ·

This product worked well, when all of the parts were in order. With infrequent and gentle use, this was used less than 10 times over the course of a year. Most recently, I was attaching the bowl to the matching when a part broke off the of the bowl’s handle. Now, the safety function (which allows the machine to turn in only when the bowl secured in place) is broken. The product is effectively rendered useless without the bottom piece of the large bowl handle.

Complicated but comprehensive Mary ·

It took me 2 weeks to figure out how to fit the smaller bowl into the larger to use it to puree. It is complicated to fit all the parts together. However, I like the 2 grating sizes and the multiple slicing sizes a lot.

Totally worth it! Linda in Baltimore ·

I’ve only used it a couple of times, but it did what I needed it to do. I hope to continue using it well into the future.

Great Food Processor JohnK ·

First large food processor I have owned and have only used it once so far. It came packaged extremely well with no damage shipped to my home. The instructions for assembly could be a bit better but once I handled it awhile and figured out what parts go where it is actually well designed. Used it to chop up some chicken for soup and only had to run it on pulse for a few times and it was done. I used the small bowl and it was plenty big enough. Sort of weird how you have to put the small bowl inside the large bowl to use it, but it works and the large bowl did not get dirty. I am looking forward to using this more as we only had a very small chopping unit before. This one is plenty big enough for us, and I would say most people. Well built from what I can tell.
