Cuisinart® PrecisionChef™ Digital Kitchen Food Scale

Hands down the best kitchen scale (Im a home cook) out there and that I have ever used. We all know the Cuisinart name, but because it is more expensive than most of what's out there I at first asked myself is it worth it? Lemme answer that for you. YES. Okay, so maybe you can sense my enthusiasm here but that's good because I measure/weigh e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g. which means I use It every day, many times a day. It is now habit and is not time consuming or burdensome to weigh my food and I need that control. My last scale was just a flat top so I would either have to pile the food directly on the small plate, or put a container on the plate, get down to 0, then put the food in container. That was also messier. And at that point I wouldn't be able to see the readout. This bowl is a significant size so you can put anything from a handful of fruit to a package of chicken in here. The bowl is stainless steel which I absolutely *love*. So easy to clean, no worries about anything penetrating, and can put cooked or raw food in there because stainless will wash clean with no worries. If you turn the scale on with the bowl already on it, it zeros out for you. You can also use it without the bowl which just leaves you with a round glass surface to work with, or you can also use any other container you have even if it extends well beyond the plate. If you do use this high capacity bowl that comes with it though, you will have no problems seeing the readout, which is also illuminated nicely. I'll have this scale forever. Its well made and well worth the price and makes my cooking process a breeze. Doesn't leave my countertop next to my stove. Highly recommend.
