Works great. There are two reasons I did not give it 5-stars First, it only spins in one direction. I used to like to go back and forth with the spin handle for better rinsing. If you could still go back and forth the new brake feature would not be necessary.... just reverse directions and you stop it. Second, it is much heavier and taller than the older model, making the storage more of a problem. If I never had their older version, which fell off the counter and cracked, I may have never noticed these changes, but I did prefer the older version. This is still better than the other brands available.
Total piece of crap. The outer bowl cracked after just a few uses. Thinking perhaps it was a fluke, we bought another. Three uses in and the bowl cracked. I will not buy a third one.

Love the salad spinner but I've had it less then 3 months and am just noticing a crack in the base near the top. I have no idea how this happened as I hand wash it only. Delivery took awhile so I am past the 90 day return policy.
The plastic broke on the edges after short time of use!
Within a few weeks, the plastic bowl was cracked. A couple of months later, the strainer was warped and ceased to function. I’m not sure if it went into the dishwasher when it wasn’t supposed to, but the spinner we owned previously last 20 years with no issues—except at the end, when ot was getting pretty grimy.
Although I love this thing and it comes in handy to dry all kinds of food, not just veggies for salads, I'm afraid this thing will breakdown before I've gotten full use out of it. You have to disassemble the whole thing in order to clean it. Pieces of food get trapped up in the lid. Plus, you can only turn the spinner in one direction.
Seems to work great. First the bowl cracked, then the top latch broke off when it fell on the floor. Trash now.
I really like this salad spinner. It has some added features that make the job of washing greens easier.
I am so glad I bought this salad spinner. Having spent a lot of time washing spinach in a colander and then trying to dry it with a dish towel, this spinner makes it a breeze. I no longer dread having to wash my greens, as it now only takes a couple of minutes to do.
I bought this spinner to replace a larger one which no longer worked after I dropped the top. I had it for years. When I read the reviews on this one I wasn't sure about it but thought I'd give it a try. It works very well. People who complained said one always had to spin it twice to get all the water out. Of course. That's what I always did with my old one and what I do with this one. It works perfectly and you can't beat the price. I recommend it. One only has to hold it when spinning because it is lightweight and can move around.
