Pros: 1. Nice size. 2. Comfortable grip. 3. Sharp cutting surfaces/edges (watch those knuckles and fingertips). So-Sos: 1. The slicer isn't wide enough for a lot of the things I'd want to use it for, but if you only plan to use it for slicing cheese to put on crackers, it's fine. 2. The rubber bumper on the bottom is MOSTLY a Pro--it allows me to use the grater on glass surfaces without worrying about damage AND it allows me to tilt the grater and really go to town on speed and volume--but it has to be removed to get a good clean and dry unless you want it to act as a food- and water-catch that's gross and risks rusting your kitchen tool. That said, I'm good about it, while my wife couldn't care less. Cons: 1. Still haven't found a good use for the zesting surface because I have two Microplane zesters that I love. The stamped zesting prongs sticking out from the box just look like a finger wound waiting to happen. 2. Storage space. It's a box grater. I knew when I bought this that a box grater would take up more room than a rolling pin, so there it is.

This grater is light, sturdy, and sharp. I haven't used the slicer yet, but the course and fine graters work great. Several reviews said that the rubber gasket on the bottom was awesome, and it IS--I can tilt this over at an angle and grate a pound of cheddar (takes ~2 minutes at a casual pace) without having to move, adjust, or anything except avoid grating my knuckles. The zester/spice grinder side is awkward and limited by the punch manufacturing method. You can't really zest anything because the cutting surfaces curve out from the box almost to a 90-degree angle. It might work better for hard spices like nutmeg or cinnamon (Winter, here we come), but I won't find out until the day my Microplane is in the wash and I need to dust a dessert or beverage. In the meantime, that side gets lumped under "inadequate."

Whenever I need grated cheese, I grate my own. This makes it much easier.

I wanted to like this but the price didn't match the quality. It was too small also.
