[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The enclosed manual is precise and easy to follow for set-up and usage. This compact expresso machine is light, simple and the black and stainless-steel finish, makes it appear sleek on the kitchen counter. Because of its size, this machine is perfect in a kitchen lacking counter space. The size and construction of it are for those who enjoy expresso drinks yet do not want bulk of a professional style expresso maker. There are many pros to this machine: heats up quickly for immediate use, built-in, rotatable frother, comes with a portafilter that has two filters, for single or double shot espresso(can make two cups at one time or one double cup), one knob for all the functions simplifies usage yet still delivers a quality expresso, the water reservoir can be removed to fill, the plastic tamper has a scoop on opposite end to measure coffee, discrete storage area for filter is located under the lid which covers water reservoir. Some of the cons are that it is loud, the frother does not come with an extra frothing pitcher, the frother is a bit messy causing milk to splash on the machine and counter, many of its parts are plastic yet durable. I am confident is will last a long time because of the De'longhi brand. These cons do not outweigh the positives and would make a nice addition to any household that appreciates specialty coffees. I recommend that water be run through it a couple of times before making your first beverage. My daughter enjoyed making her first Pumpkin Spice Iced Latte! It resembled a latte one would order in a café.
The frother broke within 5-days of use. Terrible design.

This is my first new Delonghi espresso machine. Although my 1st one was 2nd hand, it lasted for many years of daily lattes - quite the work horse. This one is slightly more compact on the kitchen counter. Can't think of anything derogatory to say about these excellent machines.

Works great. Thought it had a brewing auto shut off?. That was one of the selling points for me. So disappointed that you have to turn brewing off guessing when it's completely brewed. Other than that works as expected.

Amazing product for the price. I hope in the future to be able to try more Delonghi products! I have been making amazing espresso with this machine. I’m really looking into saving money up for an upgrade from this machine already. I have not tried any other espresso machine and with this being the first one I bought it was easy to use and made me feel like I was a professional barista. If I’m ever able to try any other Delonghi products I will definitely leave a review and I have recommended this product to 4-5 close friends and family because of its user friendly set up and quality.

This machine seems to have good pressure and is fast. The only down side is that it does not shut off when making the actual coffee. I had to experiment and purchase a small carafe with measurements to know when to shut off in order to get decent coffee. My old maker shut off, and I guess I assumed they all did. Overall the maker is easy to operate, clean,etc. They just need to make it semi automatic to shut off when brewing one or two shots. It makes a good amount of noise when working, but the pressure is good and as I mentioned it is a quick heat up. Overall good, but needs some features updated.

I bought this with the excitement of upgrading from a Mr. Coffee espresso maker…well this is INSTANTLY being returned… the loud buzzing sound is quite distracting. For as expensive as this is 1. It should be quiet just like my Mr coffee 2. I should be able to just “set it and forget it” instead I have to babysit the machine to prevent overflow For this being a luxury brand it sure screams cheap. I really only care about making the espresso so I don’t need anything fancier than that. Is this a common issue?
