2 1/2 years ago I replaced most of my carpets with laminate flooring (which wouldn't happen again if I had to do it over!) Until I bought this little vac, my floors have looked terrible every day! The main problem is that I have 4 cats and 4 litter boxes. My regular vacuum was too big and heavy to drag out every day and wouldn't fit in all the small spaces. It also has a bad habit of shooting the litter and small pieces of cat food out the back. This little guy has changed my life! I bought him about 3 weeks ago and have used him every day because it is so much fun! And he works! He is very light and I don't have to bend over like I do with the hand vac. I wish I had had him all along! He works perfectly picking up the litter and cat food crumbs as well the fine cat fur that flies all over. That's what I needed! My computer is jealous!
I am seeing the following on most of these reviews: "Reviewer received an incentive in exchange for their honest opinion." I don't think most of them were honest. They probably felt like they had to say something nice since they were getting paid (or something) for the review. Nobody's paying me or giving me anything for this. This is a cheap, lightweight vacuum that has some, limited usefullness -- don't expect to clean your whole house with it. We use is to get pet hair off of furniture. In it's short life the power cord has frayed and now is dangerous to use. I read another review that mentioned heat, yes it can heat up if you run it long. You get what you pay for. For under $40, for a disposable vacuum I guess it was OK.

Terrible suction
the upright vacuum part is fine but I can't pry apart the hand held portion from the base. That makes it a pain and only half useful
This product had scratches on it. The box was taped up leading me to believe it was a used product. Had to send it back
This little thing has great suction! Picks up pet hair terrifically. Light weight. Nice to see what kind of job was done by viewing through the clear cannister. Easy to empty. One drawback is that the brush part of the unit is a little light weight. It will pull back when reversing the stoke. I would purchase this Dirt Devil again.
bought a dirt devil about 17 or 18 years ago, still have it, and it's way better than the new one. the new one is so hard to take apart to clean it. terrible product.
I threw it in the trash can. No suction power. Bought it for picking up cat litter.
I bought this for our 5th wheel camper. Less than 3 months old and the motor smells like it is burning.

Would never buy this product again. I bought for my laminate floors in my tiny apartment and it stopped working after using it twice. It no longer turns on.
