We just installed this today and the latch already broke. So you can’t open or close it. We opened the door maybe 5 times. Absolutely ridiculous.

My husband and I recently bought a house with a narrow metal staircase up to the loft. We were worried about our 2 year old getting hurt trying to climb the stairs or running into them. This gate seems like it will work very well. It is too small to go around the whole staircase to the wall behind it, but the ability to add other panels solves that problem without too much difficulty. It's very solid and easy to install.
