When I look back on my life I often ask how I got here. Four years as a Border Patrol Agent running narcotics interdiction in the Southwest Desert, 20 years of clandestine services with the U.S, government selling and buying everything from guns, drugs, stolen technology etc.. Riding into the office in a Blackhawk and the most exciting thing in my world is a new vacuum. I have 3 large dogs who love to shed. I am renovating an ancient property on an island in the middle of nowhere and the house is under constant construction. This thing cleans EVERYTHING!!!! I just got excited when the better half asked me to clean the laundry room. I come home from work and there is something cathartic about vacuuming the house. Something about the regular monotony about filling up the dust bin and the grand finale of rapidly dumping it into the trash is ridiculously fulfilling. Sometimes I vacuum the cars just for the hell of it to see how much dog hair this thing can suck up. The battery life seems to be never ending. I vacuum an area just waiting for the opportunity to clean another part of the house. The refrigerator door like docking station is the cherry on top. Just click the vacuum into place and in no time I get another 60 minutes of cyclone tech therapy. Buy this thing. Hell, I just bought one for a buddy because this thing is so awesome and everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy vacuuming. I don’t care if I have to replace this thing every year because it works so well. Let’s not even get into the Go-Go-Gadget attachments that literally clean every imaginable surface of the house. Throw pillows covered in dog fur, magnetic Velcro carpets in the Jeep, baseboards in the great room, kitchen cabinets... You name it and this thing will clean it. I bet it could suck the chrome off the bumper of a 38’ Rolls Royce if you needed it to.
First of all, Bed Bath & Beyond was great! They have a great return policy and allowed me to get a full refund. Now to the vacuum. Out of the box, the vacuum worked, but neither of the powered attachments worked. Sent a customer service request to Dyson and they offered to send me a new charger! Replied back saying there was nothing wrong with the charge and they asked me to send them a video. Dyson replied back that the video was too long, please send a shorter one. Sent a shorter one and Dyson replied back that is was in the wrong format. Recorded the video per their instructions and sent it back. NO REPLY! Sent another message asking what was going on. NO REPLY! I returned the vacuum to Bed Bath & Beyond for a full refund and then Dyson finally emailed me asking if there was anything they could do to help me. They never offered solution!

We bought our Dyson Cyclone V10 animal vaccum last year & truly love it but after having it charged, it will vaccum for a short period of time then stop. Then it will start again. Very frustrating! Would like to know why it does this! Would also like a manual on this vaccum!

We got this about two years ago and it was good for a very short period of time and then it has been terrible and we can barely use it except to some flat floors. Complete waste of money. I will not spend this kind of money on a vacuum cleaner with Dyson again. Very disappointed. Not worth what they charge.

Battery life is the first disappointment from this item. Then as I read the box when looking to purchase it said “for all floors” when I reached out to chat with Dyson regarding the scratches all over my wood floors I was told I should have purchased an alternate attachment that is supposed to be used on wood floors. Wait what??? He then offered it to me for a price. Like I didn’t already pay enough for something that was supposed to work on all floors now you want more money from me to stop scratching my floors. Definitely not a happy customer.
you can vacuum for 20 minutes, not 60. It takes hours to charge and only a 20-minute run time. Other than that, it works well.

I bought the V10 animal and I love it. Great suction on middle power setting and the battery holds a charge well. Live the convenience of a wall mount that keeps it charged at the same time. My only complaint is the wall mount doesn't hold all the accessories. I'm not happy about having two extra accessories that have no place to attach to the wall mount.

I moved up to the V10 animal after dropping the head of my V8 in the water at our boat dock and couldn't live without a Dyson Vacuum. I LOVE the improved suction capability the V10 animal has, it is definitely a game changer for us with a large dog that sheds horribly!

I have a big dog with a lot of hair. This vacuum will not vacuum up dog hair. The hair gets stuck and stops up the air flow. I have to "unjam" it every 5 minutes. I read on here that the bin has a max capacity. My bin never gets anything it it because it jams before it gets there. VERY disappointed in Dyson. I will be returning it, never to purchase another Dyson.

In order to use this vacuum you need to hold a trigger down the ENTIRE time you vacuum. There is NO on button. I went back to the description on Dysons website and no where does it say it has a trigger that has to be held down in order to operate the machine. I’m no vacuum expert, but I’ve own a few over the years, different brands (including a previous Dyson) and have never heard of a vacuum having a trigger and not a ON switch. I had to return the machine. So disappointing.
