Dyson Cyclone V10 Animal Cordless Stick Vacuum

In order to use this vacuum you need to hold a trigger down the ENTIRE time you vacuum. There is NO on button. I went back to the description on Dysons website and no where does it say it has a trigger that has to be held down in order to operate the machine. I’m no vacuum expert, but I’ve own a few over the years, different brands (including a previous Dyson) and have never heard of a vacuum having a trigger and not a ON switch. I had to return the machine. So disappointing.

I bought this vacuum a month ago and I love it. My house is primarily carpet except for kitchen and bathrooms. It helps with the quick pickups in my kitchen and is amazing to use on all of my stairs. The battery will last 5 sets of stairs(7 steps each) and the 3 landings. This little vacuum almost has me convinced to purchase a full size Dyson to use for my rooms with carpet as it pickups up so much even after I just vacuum those rooms with my other vacuum.

My husband bought this vacuum last month, and I’m very disappointed in the product. Battery doesn’t last very long. I have to charge the vacuum twice to vacuum my main floor. If only there was a switch on/off button instead of having to use your index finger to press on it the entire time you’re vacuuming. My index finger gets tired and I have to keep switching to other fingers while cleaning. Worst problem is the “ball” of the vacuum is made of very hard sharp plastic that has slowly scratched up my hardwood floor. All in all, extremely disappointed in this product. Having to pay so much and having so many issues with it, extremely disappointing.

I had the V8 and "upgraded" to this model. To empty this model, I have to take the stick attachment off every time and dust gets inside the mechanism. When I putt the stick back on it is a gritty mess. Also, after a few years the rubber barrier that is supposed to keep the dirt in the lower part of the dust chamber is useless and the vacuum clogs quickly.

I purchased a Dyson V10 vacuum in 2020. I must say that I am absolutely at my wits end with this vacuum! This piece of junk cannot even vacuum a 2000 square feet, 4 bedroom home, on the medium power setting! This vacuum has been a piece of junk since day one! I have to vacuum the house in two shifts (start vacuuming, then it dies, charge the vacuum, then go back to vacuuming on another day). Sometimes I try to baby it by vacuuming some areas on the lowest setting before I switch up to the medium setting. Even then I can “sometimes” make it thru the whole house, but most of the time I still can't! If you want to use the highest setting… FORGET ABOUT IT! I can only do about half of the stair steps. I think most of the people marked their review with one higher star, than they really believe the vacuum performance to be, because like myself, I feel like a fool for paying so much for such a horrible product. And making myself feel like it is really better than it is, kind of would make me feel not so stupid for spending so much on this vacuum! Well, I'm sure Dyson would post this honest negative review about their product!

The charger wall unit hardware is not robust enough to handle inserting the battery into the slot. I had to buy additional hardware that could take the jostling. The unit's plastic is not precise enough to allow it to glide in and out of the charger. The vacuum itself is great, but more attention should be paid to the charger and its installation.

I bought this vacuum a month ago, and so far, I couldn't be happier! We have combination floors - hardwood, carpet, area rugs, some tile - and I usually purchase large plug-in uprights with multiple attachments. However, I've gotten very tired of lugging heavy vacuums up and down the stairs, and when my last upright clonked out, a couple of family members recommended the Dyson stick vacuums. I was skeptical, as I didn't think they would have enough suction power to tackle all the floor surfaces in the house. I'm so surprised and happy! This Dyson has more than enough power, the attachments are amazing (they really take cat hair off our furniture and rugs!), and it's SO lightweight in comparison to my previous vacuums - I genuinely couldn't be more pleased! Great purchase so far!

We bought this vacuum for our 3 dogs thinking it was going to be amazing for picking up dog hair and it isn’t. The hair regularly gets trapped on the side suction vent which will block the entire vacuum from picking up further hair. I would never recommend this vacuum to anyone that has pets
