This is my second dyson stick vacuum, the first one my husband broke lol so I bought a bissell stick vacuum and it was really nice to have the light to see under the cabinets but that too broke. So I broke down and purchased this new one and I really didn’t wanna pay $700 for vacuum , but you truly get what you pay for wirh dyson, I have an area rug that the bissell kept sucking up and wasn’t getting nearly any dog hair off. So I used the dyson today and the area and although I had to empty it 3 times it got all of our dog hair off lol having 4 dogs and 1 cat i need something that has good suction and lots of power! 10/10 recommend! Also if you have BB&B membership you save! So I only paid $590 something and that included tax
I fell in love with it (even though it was outrageously expensive). Many things about it are great! Then suddenly, I noticed it stopped showing the "Particle Count". Not a big deal, except that also means that "Reactive Suction" is disabled. I tried charging it, removing the battery, reinserting it, but no matter what, the "Particle Count" function won't enable. I set it to on, and hold the button for 5 seconds, but it still shows as off. The LCD screen also times out or glitches, and disappears after about 10 seconds. So you have to be quick to do anything in menu. So obviously, the vacuum just has a problem, and I need to get support. I went to Dyson's website where I already registered the vacuum, and went through the support menu. It was useless, and didn't provide any method to get to a support person. I finally found their phone number. When I called it, the phone does a variety of incorrect things. First, it will just answer and provide dead air indefinitely. Second, it will ring many times, then provide something similar to a busy tone. Third, it will connect and talk in another language. I got lucky and pressed 2, since I recognized it was saying "press one to continue in [another language]". I then got three options, Price Match, Existing Order, or something else. None of which were support. I tried pressing 2 anyways to see if I could get to a person, then it goes back to dead air. So I found a way to get to the Chat function, which you first have to answer a bunch of troubleshooting questions in a certain way so that it gives you the option to chat with a rep. I did so, and was presented with "No one is currently available. Please try again later." It is 10 AM on a Tuesday. Their hours indicate they are open, but I can't get support. I'm returning the vacuum. I may try purchasing it again later, but I'm not getting stuck with this thing if I can't get support, and have a partially functioning [expensive] vacuum.

I am absolutely loving my V15 Detect so far. The suction power is truly amazing for a stick vacuum, and the laser makes it so much easier to pick up things you would never know are there. I also love that the screen tells me what all I am actually picking up. Coolest feature ever! The only downfall is that you have to constantly hold the trigger in order for it to operate. Not a huge deal, but it would be nice to not have to do that. I'm so glad I splurged and bought this vacuum!

Was really excited about purchasing to be totally disappointed by performance. Only worked well if in boost, which meant you have 9 minutes before needing to recharge. Our carpets are thin too, so I can only imagine what thicker carpeting would be.

Have used twice now win my carpets and hard woods. Absolutely love everything about it. Cleaned all my window blinds in a snap and they are now free of dust. My Dyson is lightweight, easy to use, and battery recharges quickly. One of my best decisions ever. Totally satisfied customer.

I love this vacuum! Only negative is the battery life is so short on boost mode. Vacuuming is my new favorite hobby lol

I have an excellent Dyson DC15 Animal Ball vacuum and it still does an outstanding job. But as I've aged I've wanted something lighter, easier to maneuver, but still gives exceptional results. The Dyson V15 Detect has met all my expectations. Knowing the house needed regular vacuuming I was a bit ambivalent about this chore as the Ball is heavy and I did dread wrestling with the power cord. Now I actually look forward to vacuuming as the V15 is so easy to use and not nearly as tiring as the upright. Plus, I'm through with chore much, much quicker than previously using the Ball. Did I mention how easy it is now to get under the sofa, chairs, tables, etc. without having to attach another tool to reach these low areas? The V15 is great to use on throw rugs moving the front gates on the power head to the minus (-) position and selecting the Eco mode. Also, leaving the power head on that minus selection also makes it easier to push the vacuum on regular carpet using the Medium/Auto mode. I've not used the Boost mode as I feel that I haven't needed it.

I got this Dyson for Christmas to replace my first model that I had and I love it. I have 2 Dyson’s one that’s an actual vacuum and this one,I find myself using this one way more than the actual vacuum. I love the digital display and the battery last three times or more than the other one I had. Also, with this one I love the fact that you can take it completely apart to clean it.
