First, the box was delivered by FedEx without any issues or damage and is about 70 lbs so you might want to have to hands to carry it to its final destination. Upon opening it up, all parts were included as listed - I recommend checking the parts before you being. You can put this together by yourself, however there are a few times it would be handy to have that extra pair of hands. The instructions on things you assemble tend to be the weak link and this umbrella is no exception - the diagrams are tiny, making it hard to see exactly what parts are going where and reading the letters on the parts via the diagram is challenging. There is a sense of brevity as the assembly is described but overall if you take your time and call a friend if needed, assembly is an average difficulty. Note One (1) on part issues, Part "R" which is a sleeve that the umbrella slides down into is made of two pieces and in my case the one piece had not been slid down snug onto the base of the other piece and as such when the umbrella was slid into the sleeve the screw hold that goes through both the sleeve and the umbrella and tightens up to hold them together and fastened to the base, would not align. I figured out that I had to use a rubber mallot to carefully tap the two pieces into each other. After which the alignment was perfect. Note Two (2) on part issues. The solar light itself, which screws into the top of the umbrella can be a little tricky. There is a plug that runs up through the inside of the shaft that needs to come up, and over and be pushed into a slit in the metal which is very hard to see. Thus you have to carefully fumble around with the hollow metal to find the slit and lightly push the plug into it so that the threads of the solar panel are accessible (cable is tucked away into that slit) and can be threaded down snug. You will see what I mean when assembling! I have included two pictures, one of the final assembled unit and the other of the sleeve as mentioned in part issue #1 above.
Be wary of any expectation that the solar lights will work if you buy this umbrella. The umbrella itself is nice. It is massive and takes a bit to put together. Attaching the solar panel is one of the later steps. Do yourself a favor and learn from us: test out the solar lights before you go through all the hassle of putting the whole thing together. I contacted BBB and the only recourse is for me to disassemble the 11' umbrella, repackage it and send it back for a replacement umbrella. I was told they cannot just send me a new solar panel. So, if you care about the lights, test them out early. Otherwise there are probably similar umbrellas out there without the lights that are less expensive.

We purchased this umbrella roughly 8 months ago. It worked great till now. Opened it this weekend and the pole snapped at tthe base. We are always very cautious when opening and closing. Would like to know how we go about getting this replaced under warranty?
Bought in April 2022. All looked and assembled fine, but I didn't believe the metal would hold up over time. We used it seldom and never under windy conditions. Sure enough, the top support arm cracked and separated at the pole hinge. Luckily, nothing was damaged around or under it.
Bought the umbrella and as we unpacked it we saw damage. Paint was chipped. I didn’t really want to pack it back up and either ship it back or take it back to the store so I was offered $50 off. Great, I thought. Then the solar lights didn’t work?? We’ll they already gave me $50 so I let it go. Then we had to move it to seal the deck and one of the sand bags ripped open on the seam. Sand everywhere!! Not real happy at this point.
This umbrella was all we hoped it would be and more! Love the little lights on the underside! We needed a larger amount of shade and this umbrella did the trick. Would definately recommend this.
I am very happy with the quality and design of this product . The lights under the umbrella look fabulous at night !
I want to say up front the reason I gave four stars for such a well made umbrella. The lights don't work. Other than that I'm very happy with the umbrella. It's all steel contraction is exactly what I wanted, including the crank. My last umbrella was all metal but the crack was plastic and in time it broke off. I couldn't close it. So one good snow in the middle of night and the umbrella clasped. I'm sure this will not happen with this umbrella. This umbrella was easy to put together except for hauling the sand but that's to be expected since I don't want the umbrella to topple over. With all that I'm very pleased with the umbrella. Just wish the lights would work. Maybe in time we'll figure it out.
Great umbrella for a great price!
I purchased this umbrella in May 2022 and did not find time to install it. Recently when I did which takes a lot of effort and the instruction manual is not helpful. I found out that the solar lights are not working also there are some places on the top where the fabric is torn and stitches are off. I do not have the energy to disassemble and repack it. This is a disappointment and see people having similar issues that I should have read the reviews that this product is made poorly and its going to be a bad experience. I have to now contact the manufacturer as Bed and bath will not help you as its past 30 days.
