Farberware® Professional Battery Operated Can Opener in Red

This device does not seem to work well at all. Instead of cutting the lid similar to the way a manual opener would. Instead the device attempts to cut the side of the can below the bead around the top of the can. Further, even when it is successful in completing the cut; which is about 50% of the time, the magnet which should assist in lifting the severed lid does not do so. As a result it becomes necessary to use ones fingers to remove the lid thereby risking contact with the very sharp and dangerous metal edges. I am throwing mine away before myself or someone else is seriously injured.

My hand is no longer strong enough to open a pull-top can, and my hand-held can opener won't go past the pull top. No more problem! What a relief! I use it daily.

It is easy to use and stores in a drawer.

useless, wasted money

This can opener is a MUST in every household. It is so much fun to use and I can store part of the can in the container for short periods because the lid fits so well back on the can! My roommate and I rush to feed the dogs so whoever get there first gets to use the can opener! That is for real! I recommend it. The only time it did not work for me is with a tuna can. I want to drain the tuna and that is impossible as lid will not squeeze into the can for draining. So don't throw away your old can opener but you won't use it except for a tuna can. Love the Farberware product as fits your hand well and very well made!

We love it, but we're on our 3rd one, so they do seem to break easily.

Don't use can opener often but works every time I do.

It makes noice like it's working, but it doesn't cut the lid.
