Forest Gate™ Odette 3-Drawer Nightstands in Grey Wash (Set of 2)

I love the finished night stands. Love the color and size. If put together well, they are sturdy and HEAVY!! The manufacturer could have saved the consumer time by putting some pieces together. This assembly will take some time since every single board have to be put together. It says do not use power tools but I highly recommend using it.

The durability of these dressers are absolutely awful, even for particle board. Each one took several hours to assemble, but it uses cam locks and wooden pegs to put together, and the slightest bump makes the whole thing wobble from side to side. I thought it would be just one, but both tables do it. Do not buy!

Once these were built, we were so happy with these! They seem sturdy and of good quality. The drawers slide easily, and they look great in our bedroom. They were difficult to assemble though. There are 18 steps to assemble these, and we tackled each nightstand on a different day as it took longer than expected. The packing of the item was good, nothing was damaged, and they even provide extras of the small pieces like the screws just in case. I would recommend but be prepared for the long process of building!

I bought the grey wash nightstands and LOVE them. Sturdy, very good looking and a high end feel. So yes, you do have to assemble but it is well worth your time and effort because a very similar one that I saw on Pottery Barn was almost four times the price! The directions are very good but I do want to make a few comments about them to help you out. Read and follow the General Assembly directions on page 2… It is the only place that it tells you to glue both ends of the dowels. Also it says do not use power tools but my husband used them with no negative affect. I did most of the assembly and did not use the power tools and I didn’t find that particular hardship. The difficult part was screwing the drawer sliders. The screws were tiny and in some cases a little difficult to hold them but I did find that if I had a screwdriver with a magnetic tip, that made a big difference. I also found that if I made a point of screwing the screws straight in they were easier to screw than if they were a little bit off. I also found that it was really quite easy to do it by myself with the exception of step 13 where you screw the plastic wedges in the back only because someone needed to hold the back panels in place from the inside of the cabinet while someone else was screwing them in on the backside of the cabinet. Kudos to the manufacturer.

These are nice nightstands but there is a lot of assembling needed. I had to hire someone to put them together. I wouldn’t order again only because the time it takes to put together.
