Recieved the bunk bed in a timely manner, assembly was fairly simple if you can read directions, and even easier with a helper. So far it seems pretty sturdy and once we received the mattresses, it seems like it's going to work fine for the grandchildren, and even our adult son on the bottom. I've slept on the bottom myself and it's pretty roomy and comfortable with an 8" full futon mattress.
Cant believe that someone thought to use such thin metal for making this bed components. It should be rated for safety not to exceed 50lb. on each level. Couple good things: a concept and how futon unfolds.
I think it's worth the wait and the time. The kids like it and there is no fighting, but they're GIRLS! We've always used it as a twin and a queen set and I don't know what we'd do if we made it a twin and futon/chair set.
It looks great. The bed does feel a little unstable on the top bunk, I wouldnt recommend anyone over 150 lbs sleeping on it.
