Garnier® Nutrisse Nourishing Hair Color Crème in 362 Darkest Berry Burgundy

I have blue eyes and light, cool (pink toned) skin. My hair is naturally blonde that darkened in my early 20’s to that dirty dark blonde non color. I usually use preference 8.5a, medium ash blonde, but I recently tried Nutrisse 82, champagne fizz, and this is a much better color tone for my skin/eye color combo. It looks very natural, I think I found my original hair color! Will keep using this one. I was hesitant to try it because I’d been using 8a in other brands and it was too dark, so I thought switching from 8.5 to 82 might be darker. Not at all. 82 is the same lightness as 8.5 but the color tones are different. They say in the description that it has iridescent burgundy, so maybe that ms why it suits pink toned skin. I wouldn’t know it has burgundy from looking at it, but I know it’s perfection for my light pink toned skin and blue eyes. My haircolor turned out exactly like the box front. My hair is fine and curly. It looks healthy, curly, and nice when I use this. This is the second time I’ve used this, I tried it last year and felt the same way, this is the perfect tone for me, but I had some of my old color in the cabinet and wanted to use it up. It was disappointing to see the other color, and when I returned to this color I was like, “yayyy!! This is the right one!!!” This time I’m sticking with this color. I did learn not to use handmade soap to wash my hands after dying. I got dye on my fingers and washed it off with handmade bar soap. 15 minutes later my fingers swelled and got a little numb. I washed well with regular hand soap twice and then soaked my hand in water with a little dish soap. My hand was fine, back to normal after 20 minutes. My scalp had no reactions.

I have used the Garnier Nutrisse 50 for years. I have always gotten compliments on the natural looking color that it gave my hair. I bought a new box and noted that it said it was New Nutrisse Ultra Crème. This color is so difficult to apply. The color tube you add to the developer is so thick. I had a terrible time trying to get it out of the bottle to apply to my hair. It is a shame because the old formula was so much easier to apply. You know the saying “Don’t fix it if it isn’t broken” should have been applied here. Hopefully they will go back to the original formula. Disappointed to say the least and I just recommended it to a friend before I tried this new formula.

I have naturally medium blonde/dirty blonde hair and I used this hoping to achieve a bit of a lighter blonde for coming spring, I followed the directions exactly, left it on for 20 mins as instructed and while it did lighten the shade a bit it turned my hair a strawberry blonde, orangey color… even though I am a natural blond and my shade was on the back of the box.. :/ I’m not sure how to fix it as I’m scared to turn to bleach but yah wouldn’t recommend

I have natural medium blonde and i dye my hair light blonde and needed to touch up roots. This color did NOT lighten my hair at all. Very disappointed. I use to use lightest ash blonde before they changed, the formula.

I always use this brand of hair dye and the last couple times it hasn’t been covering my gray not even a little. I’m not sure if the changed the formula but I still have a patch in the front . Everywhere else the color came out amazing !

I already have darker brown hair but I wouldn’t classify my natural color as “darkest brown” … I dyed my hair and it looked about the same, there are no longer warm tones, the auburn / reddish tint in the sunlight is gone and it is now just a cool brown Vs chocolatey looking. Still love it, but if you already have a darker brown hair you probably won’t see much of a difference.

I have been very loyal to Garnier for years. In particular I have LOVED their black dye and never had any issues in the literal years I've used it. Unfortunately, the last two times I have purchased and dyed my hair with this box dye, I have been sadly disappointed. The color just hasn't come out as vibrant and it hasn't lasted nearly as long. Seems to make my shampoo purple every time I wash my hair. I have been washing and dying my hair the same way for 15 plus years so I doubt it's anything I'm doing. Very very disappointing that I'm going to have to switch brands.
