The sun comes in to our back patio so brightly in the morning and it heats up our house so we put these curtains on the outside of the doors. Even though they are white (not sheer), they still filter plenty of sun so that we don't get the glare and it isn't as hot inside.
These are GREAT curtains, BUT I didn't realize any wind makes them slide around the curtain rod, completely to one side. I got these for privacy, so this is a huge problem. Tab top curtains would probably be better. IF YOU LIKE THE GROMMETS DO WHAT I DID AND PLACE 1 OR 2 LONG ZIP TIES around the curtain rod TO ONE SIDE of the last grommet ON EACH END - leave a long tail on the zip tie - the tail will stop the curtains from sliding around on the curtain rod.(unless it gets REALLY windy) (you can get zip ties or "cable ties" at any hardware store) I don't recommend these because I cant imagine anyone who has an outdoor space has NO wind. I haven't tried tab-top patio curtains but I would imagine that fabric tabs wouldn't slide around much in the wind, but maybe I'm wrong - who knows. I would experiment with one tab top panel and see. These curtains wash well, they are very wrinkly at first, but the wrinkles fall out after a while. I've had mine almost a year and the grommets have NOT rusted, not even a tiny bit. I would recommend them if you have zero wind, or if you really like the look of the grommet rings get them and deploy the zip tie trick.

I will be returning these curtains, as the “natural” color resembles a light yellow/buttercream/light peach hue. Very disappointing.
I returned them because I did not like the color.
Second time to buy these great outdoor curtains. They last for years and years! I've washed them and they looked great after... can't recommend these enough!
BUT at half the cost. Nice quality, looks great on the patio. Provides shade against afternoon sun.
Purchased last June for our new town home lanai. Perfect - keeps the sun out, minimizes rain from Florida storms pouring in. So far no sign of fading and they are great quality.
Love the way they look on our patio. They are effective in shading during the late afternoon.

I love these curtains. They are exactly what I was looking for. They hang perfectly, and look very good. The customer service I got at the store in getting these was excellent as well.
