Google Nest Cam (Wired) with Floodlight

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This flood light plus camera is a great combination fixture. I only have one fixture outside, so would otherwise have to choose. Works great with the rest of the Nest system. I would recommend it if you have a place that is dark and needs both a camera and lights.

The light is bright and comes in handy where you place the camera. It blends in well if you have a light colored house. The only downfall I have was it makes you stick with a specific google account so it’s hard to deal with multi things.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I installed this unit where an existing porch light had been and wow what a huge improvement. The installation was pretty quick taking me overall about 30 minutes. Kit comes with everything you will need to mount to 3in or 4 in pancake box. I like the fact you can easily replace the cam if need be. The floodlights on this unit are amazing and work beautifully. Setting up the app and device was quick and easy. In the app, it is easy to adjust timmer and sensitivity settings to your liking. All around great product highly recommend to anyone looking to add a quality security product to their property.

The installation was relatively easy and not taking an excessive amount of time to set up and install. It is not too heavy but very sturdy and quality constructed. The technology is incredible in it's ability to differentiate between people, wildlife and vehicles. The camera provides a great, clear picture when reviewing. I love the peace of mind this system provides, knowing I can check in on my home when away. Well done!

If you have the Home app installed it will walk you through the process to get your camera connected to your wifi. The accessibility to view as much as you need through the use of the custom zones is a great feature! Overall this is a great product and provides ease of mind from anywhere you are.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Finally was able to run power to where I needed this light and the outcome is GREAT! Everything comes in a nice packaging, very organized and simple. The camera and light features work hand in hand with a great picture day or night as well as far reaching led lights. The floodlight illuminates the entire area, while the camera can see almost the full 180 of the side of my house. While the picture could be a little more detailed in night video without the light on, it is on par with other outdoor night vision cameras I have used. The only knock on this is installation. It only comes with a video, and only has instructions for mounting on a wall, and not the underside of a eave like many flood lights that are already installed. It took a little extra time to get it in the right position and you have to flip the video 180 degrees once you install it to get the picture the correct way, but otherwise its not too complicated if you are handy. If you are not handy, the instructions are pretty lacking. The video is a good overview, but they need to number the screw and specify which ones are used in each position. The alan security key did not fit the screw head it was supposed to, I ended up having to use my own to complete. Overall still a great product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Google Nest Cam is so easy to install that I decided to replace one of our outside porch lights on the side of our house to a flood light for night use and have the added option for video recording and notifications. The smooth, matte, white camera and floodlight are modern and expensive looking. The packaging includes the mounting plates, screws, ground wire, three wire connectors and instructions along with the lights and camera. Not only do you get easy, detailed instructions there is also an app that explains the install process step by step making it easy to follow; the entire install process took less than 20 minutes. It was really easy, just three wires to connect, a few screws to mount and secure the Nest Cam and setting it up via the app. The live and recorded images displayed in the app are very clear and the floodlight really lights the area. Night vision on the camera works great and once the floodlights are activated by the built-in motion sensor the image changes to color. You can zoom in/out of live or paused video within the app. Like other Google cameras, it is held on with a magnet which makes it easy to adjust to the area. This is a great security device for the price, it was very easy and fast to install and I would recommend it to anyone in this market, especially for those who may already have Google Nest products in their home or office.
