We love that you can see the bare pottery on the bottom of these. They hold heat very well, the mugs are quite large, and the lips on the plates are great for preventing food from sliding off. The bowls I am torn on. I loved the shape, and they hold so much, but they almost hold too much; it's hard to guage portions. They also do not nest, which means they take up more space in the cupboard. Since getting these new dishes it seems the dishwasher is always full, too, since the bowls don't fit in as well due to their size and shape (same goes for the big plates). We love this set, but it now feels like I'm constantly doing dishes!
The dishes are beautiful and I like the style, but they are very heavy and the salad bowls are way too big.

I love the look of the product, HOWEVER, way way too big. The bowls that you would use for soup or salad are like serving size bowls, the coffee mugs are also huge and I use them for soup. The small and large plates are okay, but they are also all very heavy. Very disappointed in the set and I ordered 3 sets, I am using them, but.......

I’m glad I didn’t go by the negative reviews about the dishes being too heavy or large. I love the size & weight of this set. If you are looking for a solid dinnerware set, this is it. The only problem is I need another set or two & this set is currently out of stock. BB&B - please order more!

I've been looking three years for a replacement set of dinnerware. I was walking around BBB looking to pass some time because the vet was next door. I saw this dinnerware set on display and had to have it! It is just the right size for everything I put food onto or into. The bowls are so right for stews and soups! The set is a little heavy but that is what I wanted because anything lighter, I may take it for granted and have a spill or too. This set makes to remained focus that you have this in your hand! Love it!

Beautiful, even better than in the pictures. Big plates, flat surfaces so your food doesn’t run together. Plus, they fit in the dishwasher easily and stack nicely in the cupboard so easily. Just over the moon—best money I’ve ever spent at this store.

Great stuff but we kept bowls from our old set . The bowls are 40 ounces and they take up a lot of cupboard space. We saw the reviews of other customers opinions on the bowls. While we like the set, they are a bit big for a few ladles of soup.

I love the looks of the stoneware but the bowls are big. They resemble serving bowls not salad bowls. The coffee mugs are big also but I like that about the set. Plates are both regular size. I kept the set because I really love their looks and they match my kitchen décor.
