Hamilton Beach® Healthsmart Indoor/Outdoor Grill

Have cooked steaks on it . Was not bad but I wish this one came with a lid. But very easy to use.

This pkg arrived with dents and taped shut. Was not in another box just original. No instruction booklet and now the #' on the control switch are no longer there. Works great just wish I had returned to store for a different package.

Love this grill as I can use it inside. Easy to clean and food cooks so good

Good ! Easy to clean too, only wish a lid was including. Overall, I 'm pleased!

Does Not Get Hot Enough

I've been using this grill about two weeks and really like it. I've grilled chicken breasts, burgers, salmon, bacon and vegies (sliced eggplant, zucchini, grape and regular tomatoes). Everything was nicely seared. I don't recall how long burgers took but 4 oz Chicken breasts take 16 minutes and half to three quarter inch salmon steaks take about 10 minutes. I'm not sure how much I like it for bacon as the fat drips into the base filled with water and I didn't know what to do with that water/fat mixture. Perhaps without the water it would be easier to clean but I'm not sure if it would smoke. The burgers produce a little smoke (nothing to set the smoke alarms off) and very little splatter and other food seems to produce even less smoke and no splatter. The plug-in control doesn't even get splattered. Nothing sticks to the cooking plate and even burned-on BBQ sauce can be removed with a hot spray of water alone. A quick follow up with detergent and sponge gets it completely clean. Most cooking plates cannot be thoroughly washed by hand yet this can go in the dishwasher although I haven't tried it. Besides the removable plug and temperature controller which can be easily wiped just two pieces, the plastic base and cooking plate, need to be washed. There seems to be no need for a lid. Overall I'm very pleased.
