Got these with a 20% discount, so around $160. Blades are extremely sharp, handles feel solid and the knives have good weight. Time will tell if the built in sharpener really works. Block sticks out a little more than I’d like from the wall and had a little leftover sawdust in it but I should have cleaned it before using it. A great set, solid in the hand and sharp looks.
I’ve always thought highly of this brand, but this is clearly a cheap version. The knives are very sharp, which is the only reason I’m giving it 2 stars. Almost half of the knives already have rust on them after a couple of washings. Definitely not worth the price.

On Valentines Day, I handed my wife a new knife set I had purchased for her. I noticed that three corners of the box were crushed. In most cases, the product is usually just fine. To my surprise one of the corners of the knife block was scratched where the wood staining had been rubbed off. This product was not purchased as scratch and dent. My wife being content with her gift decided to keep it. I on the other hand am upset since I can't get a replacement at a local store and it's a huge inconvenience in having to return it for a replacement.
Best knives I have ever had. So sharp. First thing I had to cut was a tomato. Perfect!

I apparently missed this while researching which Henckels knife set to get. This particular set (16) does NOT have the better forged steak knives; these are stamped. They're still high quality with good heft, but it was a disappointment to me because I wanted the whole set to be forged. There is a Henckels 20 piece Forged Accent set that DOES come with the forged steak knives, and that's what mislead me.
I have misplaced my 5" serrated knife and would like to know where I can purchase another one. These are not dish washer safe, mine have stained, however, they are working well. I suggest handwashing them.
Everything feels like cutting butter. The self sharpening block makes it even more convenient. We have found our new fav knife brand!
