I bought this unit a year ago for use during the dry winter months. Worked fine last winter. This winter was doing ok until about three weeks ago when the "on" button turned red and the unit turned off. I have been cleaning it every time it needed cleaning (about every five nights) with the vinegar mix recommended. I have not used distilled water, but nothing indicated this was required. Unfortunately, there are no instructions on what to do when this happens. So, I throw this expensive thing away?

Buy this humidifier little over a month ago and it will not power on. Checked the output voltage being applied to the humidifier and it’s 24 volts dc. We only used distilled water in the humidifier and cleaned it with the 50/50 water vinegar per the instructions. Nothing in the instructions

Good machine but hard to clean. I have to buy one every 2-3 years because you can only clean so far inside the machine and it will get moldy inside the spout and below.

Had one and it worked great for about two months then it wouldn't even mist, called company they sent new one. Started it up and have used for about 1 1/2 months and now it wont work again. very frustrating.
