This is my 3rd hardwood floor cleaner from Hoover. The first two were Floormates. I decided to try this new model as it advertised cleaning grooves and textured floors. The soon brush design also sounded improved. I can positively state that the features are exactly as advertised! I am so pleased with this new floor cleaner model! The machine actually did clean between the crevices of our hand carved hardwood floors and the unevenness of the planks was no problem. The suction power was wonderful and my floors dried so quickly. Even my husband noticed the difference. I had been concerned that the compartments for cleaning and the dirty water are actually smaller inside than the FloorMate. But this machine cleans more efficiently. Less solution was needed as the amount sprayed was perfect, and hence less was disposal was needed as well for the dirty water. Well done Hoover!!
I had a Hoover Floor mate for years and couldn't say enough about it's performance. But, as anything else, eventually it needed to be retired. Could not find another locally, purchased a PowerDash, am very disappointed with it's performance. First had issues with the sprayer not spraying, worked that out. But, it seems that the outer brushes scrub the floor, the inner brushes don't even touch the floor. I can go over the floor with a mop and bucket and can pick up more dirt after washing with the PowerDash. Would not recommend this product to anyone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If had to say one thing it'd be that it doesnt scrub very hard and doesn't pick up trash. But for dog pee and poop smears this thing is magic.

I bought mine in December before Christmas, and in February it quit working. I only have two rooms I shampoo, and was upset it has quit working already.

I really loved this carpet cleaner it wasn't bulky and it cleaned well. The only issue is that it stopped working after only 3 months!!

Easy set up.cleaned ok ( not great) but to clean the plastic cover over the brush and the brush you have to remove screws and take the unit apart! Terrible design! Those parts get very dirty and should probably be cleaned after use.

I purchased the Hoover Pet Dash cleaner model 50750 I can't convey how disappointed I am. When I tried it the water/cleaner solution drained out of the clean water tank within the first minute of using it! So that first section of carpet was terribly soaked. I filled the tank again & continued ( I had to since a portion of the carpet was already wet), this time NOT pressing the trigger at all- of course water/solution still was leaking. In the end I had to run the machine on dry strokes for a long time to get the carpet to a point where I could dry it completely by having 2 fans on high at floor level plus a ceiling fan on high. This is only a small bedroom but it was an incredible mess. This experience is in extreme contrast to what happened with the Max Extract cleaner (model FH50240) which I purchased several years ago and has worked very well. It's just too heavy for me to push now, as I have significant back issues. That is why I got the Pet Dash - it's much lighter. However, it clearly is not a dependable machine.
