Hunter® 52-Inch Cedar Key Low Profile Indoor/Outdoor Ceiling Fan in Black with Remote Control

Installed in a dual-switch configuration (one switch for light, one switch for fan). Doesn't work - the "fan" switch controls both the light and the fan and the other switch doesn't do anything. Did I mis-wire it? I don't think so but I'm more than willing to admit it's a possibility. The real problem is that I can't get to the wiring to check due to the "QuickConnect" locking pin used in the light/control module. Once you install the light kit and that locking pin engages, you have no access to that pin to be able to remove the light kit. And you can't remove the fan blades or the fan housing without removing the light kit. It's an incredibly shortsighted design that apparently assumes you will never want to take the fan down. At this point, I'm going to assume it's a defect in the control module so if I can figure out how to take the fan down, it's going back and I won't be buying another Hunter fan.

Purchased the first one for a combination living, dining, kitchen area with high ceilings. Very quiet, great air movement and the remote has everything we wanted on it including light dimming and the ability to reverse direction. Also of note is the ability to use the remote or wall switches without any performance issues and installation was simple with detailed instructions and well labeled pieces. Liked it so much we purchased a second one to replace a different model that only lasted a year and was noisy. Only regret is we didn't choose this one for the second location right away!

I love this fan. It is well made, and love the design. My only suggestion is that the stripes are a little lighter than I was hoping for.

Easy to install (my husband installed 5 of them in an afternoon), nice airflow, remotes are convenient and work well.

This is the perfect light and fan to put on my patio where there was no light. It moves air well enough for us to tolerate the heat as the patio faces the west and afternoon sun is relentless.

The features are adequate in regard to the speed options, the light dimming etc. The only issue we found is the remote is not dimming as described in the instructions. Overall a positive experience.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this ceiling fan to re-decorate my guest room in a nautical theme, since my son is in the Coast Guard. The blades are reversible and I love that one side gives a textured look as opposed to the standard wood look. Just installed it and it seems to be a great fan. They only reason I am giving 4 stars is that the picture makes it look like the blue stripes are dark, however they are a lighter blue than pictured. Which still works out fine for my decor., but felt it should be noted .

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently built a pergola for my back deck. We were looking for an outdoor fan and this fit with the color and look of the material. The installation was not difficult. I am not electrically inclined but I got it up in about an hour or so. The unit is quiet and generates a good breeze even on low power. I've got a cover on top of the pergola so I'm hoping it will stand up well to the elements in Texas (mostly the heat). The remote is easy to use and I do keep that out of the elements. I've bought Hunter products before and I've always been happy with the quality and the reliability. My expectations are the same for this fan.
