I've owned this spin mop for less than year and it has started to break down. I just called the hurricane spin mop contact number and they told me to send them evidence of owning the mop and they will send me a brand new one. Just wanted to write this in case others are wanting a replacement but don't want to buy a brand new one. These companies are willing to replace it if the product is defective.
This spin mop works great when it works. This was probably my 5th time of using it and something popped out and the spin function stopped working. My husband took it all apart and fixed it. He explained that I pushed down the petal too quickly too hard and so the plastic parts could not handle the pressure and gave way. I thought that the quicker I pushed the faster it would spin, but according to my husband (who is an engineer) the basket needs to have time to accelerate in order not to pop the mechanism but would still come up to speed. Also, do not push down on the mop while it is spinning but let it just sit there, because pushing down adds load that the spinner cannot handle. It's ok to push down before spinning to get some of the excess water out,

I purchased this item in November and it doesn't spin anymore, and you only get a 30day warranty
takes too long to get this particular item..I have ordered a few over the past several months and takes almost 2 wks and the first one took over a month..
It is so easy to use. The spinning device removes the dirty water and I then use the cleaned mop to keep cleaning. I toss the mop head in the washing machine with soap and a little beach and It's ready for the next clean up. It's a very efficient cleaning method for floors.
Great mop system, easy to use and works great.
Honestly I like the product, this is my third. AND therein lays the problem. The foot peddle has a tendency to break. AND then! The design changes forcing you to buy a new wheeled caddy.
I love the way the mop works but the handle on the mop came a loose. I still can use the mop but the Screw came out that holds the mop head on.
Three moths and it stopped spinning it was too expensive for it not to last
Works great for mopping and also for dusting!’
