Several reviews have said that these filters are overpriced. I don't disagree, but I have been able to extend the useful life of them by vacuuming them periodically with a hand-held vacuum. This way I can easily get 3 to 6 months out of each filter -- and by the way, we use our Roomba 5 times a week.

As a household with 6 members, 2 dogs and frequent visits from other people, we use our Roomba daily (sometimes twice a day) and its dust bin is always full. Im allergic to dust mites and pollen, so whenever the filter is not functioning anymore, my nose tells me. This dud lasts like 2-3 months (with frequent care) and then starts letting through dust. This brings me to the main point - WHAT IS UP WITH THE PRICE? I could buy another Roomba after a year of buying your overpriced filters! Not even taking into account side brushes,extractors, front wheels etc! Ive always loved iRobot, I own 4 different Roombas (520, 620, e5 and 966), but after this, I am most likely going to be switching to another brand with my next purchase, since this is absolutely outrageous. The manufacturing price cant be this high for you to sell your filters at such high prices.

Trying to find and remove some parts can be difficult. I don't want to pull too hard and break something. Drawing would be helpful.

I do really love my robot, but a man must of come up with the rubber rollers. I get my filter queen out every couple months to do edges and power head ( "with real brushes") does fluff up my carpets better. You should give the customer an option of type of brushes. The price of the filter is ridicules, like any smart woman, I too clean out and reuse them. Prefer timed setting for better performance. I set carpet cleaning on Monday and Thursday, hard floors on Tuesday and Friday (More often when shedding time). Recessed family room on Saturday or Sunday, when I am home. I would have given a five if: Brush roller, bulk prices on filters, better edge cleaner. I mop needs a lot of assistance room to room.... She won't go over the carpet to get to the bathrooms, nor kitchen over divider to dining room.

I use my 'Electronics Duster' compressed gas duster/cleaner to blow the dust out of the filters and the dirt bin, it works great.

I honestly like how these filters are. Yes I do agree that they are so pricey. However, I have found a way to keep the original 3 that I have bought. It so much easier to break out the large vacuum that also traps 99% of allergens to clean these filters out. I find that very useful and works super super well. The performance of the robot almost automatically restored to when I first bought it!

Filters too expensive Bed Bath & Beyond Customer ·

We are a small household, with a large dog, cat, and pet duck. We live on a hobby farm, so lots of dirt gets tracked in. I love being able to push a button to vacuum the floors, and the Roomba does a great job. However, I've had it for a month, and am looking for replacement filters already. They need to be cleaned after every use, and are outrageously expensive. There is no way those filters could do the job for two months. Two weeks and they are done! If I replace filters every two weeks, I'd be spending $300/year just on filters. :-(
