Purchased this hoping to save some time with cleaning wood floors and having dogs etc. wow. It’s been a great purchase saves a ton of find and bonus is it’s the best vacuum we’ve had.
So less than a month ago I purchased the roomba 960 then discovered the roomba i7 less than a week ago. Naturally I returned the 960 since it did not have the option to label the rooms and schedule cleanings based on the layout of my home. Well first let me say it’s not even 2weeks and I miss the 860. The only positive with the i7 is the ability to schedule rooms once smart mapping is complete. There are a lot of areas for improvement with the i7. For starters it has a week battery or something because it’s been found sitting in the middle of the floor on at least 3 occasions in less than 2weeka. It does not clean as good as the 960. It’s nosier than the 960 and it hits furniture harder than the 960. The 960 was GREAT at getting those fine particles of dirt and grit from my hard surfaces floors, the i7 not so much I have to run it multiple times through the day just to ensure it is cleaning properly and even with the two passes it doesn’t do as good as the 960. I am seriously considering returning this one for the 980 now that it’s on sale for the same price—I doubt it would be worse than this. So disappointed !!!!!

I use it daily to vacuum. Definitely keeps the cat and dog hair down. I would recommend buying this with the self empty container as it's a pain to constantly empty bin. I don't like how small things like piece of paper or plastic can clog this so easily. Have to always check before vacuuming. It's a great time saver though and I'm glad I bought it.

I've had the i7 Robot Vacuum for a year and I am so disappointed with this product. I ordered it thinking it would be an upgrade from my previous Eufy and boy was I wrong. The main reason I wanted this product was to help keep my house free of pet hair. I have 2 dogs, a Pitbull and a Doberman, so their hair is short. I never had issues with my previous Eufy as far as dog hair, it was just an older model and needed to upgrade. Cons: The i7 is a lot louder, dog fur gets stuck between the silicone brushes and it is left in piles everywhere, the bin is never full because it's all stuck between the brushes. I never had that problem with the Eufy. The majority of my house is hardwood floors, so it's not even like it gets stuck because of carpet. When I contacted customer support, all they had as a solution was a guide on how to properly clean it, which I had already done. The i7 is also higher, so it doesn't fit under a lot of my furniture (like the couches). Pro: The only feature I like is the mapping app and being able to start a job from my phone. But, I'm sure the newest Eufy product would have that as well. In conclusion, if you have pets and that is your main reason for looking for a robot cleaner, I would suggest you look elsewhere.

I am so disappointed in this product! I wish I would have returned it immediately because it is a waste of money. I have a golden retriever so I have to vacuum daily - I got this in hopes that I could use it on the off days I don't vacuum but it leaves clumps of hair everywhere. It does not pick up crumbs either - it literally does nothing but leave more of a mess and I end up vacuuming after to clean up.

After almost 2.5 years of ownership, this robot was somewhat a waste of money. It had limited use and still requires a lot of upkeep. Spent more time resolving its issues then it actually vacuuming. Will be moving on to other brands.

If I were able to give zero stars to this product and company, I would. I posted a review earlier about the dreaded error 26 to which iRobot was quick to email a response to correct the issue and also to consider changing my review. After a few emails with customer support, I was sent a complimentary replacement cleaning head. I thought that iRobot was supportive and was willing to back their product. Unfortunately, after a few cleaning rounds with the newly installed cleaning head, the robot threw the error 26 AGAIN!!! So disappointed that this is what $700+ buys and that the only fix is to replace a $70 part and even that doesn't fix the issue. IRobot knows of this issue as it has been mentioned countless times in these reviews but they are not fixing the issue. I regret buying the dirt disposal accessory too, though it works amazingly because now I am stuck with a product that I can't use.

We have liked having our i7 with the base station in our living room, however like many other reviewers we got the dreaded Error 26 the DAY AFTER our warranty expired. I managed to clean the cleaning head and get it to work again, but the same error has come back several times. I expected more from a $700 vacuum cleaner, and $70 for a new cleaning head is unacceptable to me. If iRobot is going to charge this much for a product with well known issues like error 26, the warranty should be like 3-5 years.

My iRobot worked decently for 2 months and suddenly it is telling me I need a subscription! The company just confirmed it but it doesn't say anywhere that it won't work without a subscription! Now I have a really expensive door stop!! If this specific robot needs a subscription to work, it should specifically say that. So basically false advertising!
