Been using our S9 for 6 months as of May 2022. We run it twice a week on our main(1st floor) and once per week on our 2nd floor. Our floor is 95% wood and 5% carpet. Expensive but definitely an excellent vacuum/sweeper robot. The engineering and logic programing of this product is incredible. Transitioning from wood to carpet, you could here it changing vacuuming power. Also memorizing where to go and stop at edges of stair-well drops is impressive. A lot of reviewers i noticed complains about getting jammed with debris, well you have to clear your floor before running it. You can not leave socks and wires where it would clean. Also i clean the sensor windows in front of it. You sure don't wanna be driving in your car with dirty windshield. It is how it maneuvers around the house using those sensors. Overall, great buy for us!

I do not often write reviews, I am an avid roomba fan and have been since the discovery up to the i7 plus. I7 is a wonderful machine, we decided to give the i9 a shot to upgrade our i7. The suction power is greatly increased, wonderful job there, fit and finish is really pretty, again nice job. That said, this is the most under developed roomba I've ever seen come to market. The side brush will not function on anything other than hard floors. It has issues with knowing where it's new D shaped head is located and smashes hard into the walls with a fit of rage on inside corners when it can't figure how to get out of the corner. The i7 in the same home functions flawlessly. Poor software coding guys, very rushed and not ready for market, strongly considering passing on this flagship and sending it back. Beautiful design and idea, terribly rushed horrible execution. Sorry for the honest review guys, was hard to write so much negative about a company I openly endorse to friends and family.

iRobot fails to inform the consumer that the tires are expected to wear out yearly even with below average usage. The Roomba is unable to make it up the cleaning base ramp when the tires are worn down. The tire cannot be replaced, they will only sell you the entire wheel assembly, so expect to cough up over $60 a year to buy the pair. Consumers beware of purchasing iRobot products!

We're using it to vacuum the kitchen, hallway and bedroom. Rooms with any stuff on the floor don't work. For what we need and use it, it does the job really well.

Works for about 2 minutes before it stops and needs the debris brushes cleared. Nothing is ever in them. Stops and says it's stuck and when you locate it there is nothing around it. Worked great for the first week. After that it's been a pain every time It goes out!!

We own this since a little over 2 years, had nothing but issues with the product. Last year one of the fans inside broke where they replaced the vacuum, that part was great. Now it has undocking problems, cliff sensor doesn't work right. Customer service answer was, well since you tried everything we told you and it's still not working there is nothing we can do since I'm out of warranty. Again I've been so many times in contact with them the whole 2 years about stuff not working. Best was here is a 100$ trade in value if I get a new one. This is my 2nd with nothing but problems why in the world would I spend more money on this vacuum.

I am now on my third robot. This model does not seem to last long. When it is new it works really well, and then it just keeps giving either empty bin, close the lid, or drop off error. Depending on which robot I had going. One kept telling me drop off detected and it was sitting on a flat vinyl floor (I have no stairs or ledges so no where to drop off). When they sent the third roomba I was told that the replacement robot warranty is shorter. I bought my original about 2 years ago and am on robot number three. I loved my i7 but it lacked a little in the pet hair area and I really hoped that this one would work better. Now I wish I had not given my i7 to a family member it is still working like a champ. I am tired of taking videos and sendig in to customer service and well the third one I think the warranty is up, I am going to look at a shark or bissel that mops also, at least they are 1/4 of the cost.

Great suction, poor performance otherwise Bed Bath & Beyond Customer ·

I have to give this thing at least one compliment.... WHEN it works it really does pick up everything in its path. But.... Can't really speak well about it the rest of the time. It consistently stops and says "drop off detected". I have a single story house, 100% tiled, all similar color. No idea how it can just freeze in the center of a room and say it thinks it's on a cliff. It tells you to reloacte it, and when i do it still gives the same message. Usually have to leave it be about 20 minutes before i can get it to restart. This happens EVERY time it is used at least a couple times, sometimes more. Mine cannot undock itself. No matter what i try i can't get it to undock when i command it to from the app. It doesn't even attempt to undock, just says it has an undocking issue. I have to manually remove it from the dock and start it. This means i cannot use it to vacuum on a programmed schedule when i am not home, which was my primary reason for buying it.. Sometimes it "forgets" to dock when it's battery gets low and it just dies in the middle of a room. This even happened with brand new batteries. It sometimes just doesn't remember to go back before the battery dies. Rollers degrade pretty easily. For how expensive they are, they should last alot longer. Batteries don't last that long and a new one is $100. If you get 100 uses out of one you are very lucky. That is less than 2 uses a week over a single year. As far as batteries go i expect better. Just feel that this is not worth the premium price you pay vs it's competitors. Would not recommend this vacuum unless it was half the cost it is sold for.

We have had our S9 series about a year and half and it will not work. We purchased new filters, rollers, bags and battery and have reached out to the customer service team 3 times now and haven't gotten a response. We figured it just needed a new battery and after another $100 it still won't charge. We loved this purchase in the beginning but not getting help to be able to send it in for review is beyond unacceptable.
