Roomba past experience: Dirt Dog, 610 Professional, 880. Roomba improvements have been incremental up to now. The s9+ is a step change in performance features that really count. The extractors and the Roomba shape combine for very efficient cleaning; important to us multiple pet owners. The bin is very easy to clean and needs only modest attention weekly. The bag bin is a great addition which means that dust, dirt and pet hairs don't get loose when emptying the bin. Mapping is a great feature for spot cleaning or extra cleaning trouble areas. The cost of this Roomba suggest that you're getting the best - that is correct.
I purchased this unit just over a year ago. I loved the unit and recommended it to multiple friends and family. This week it sounded funny while vacuuming. I stopped it immediately and when I opened the dust bin I found chucks of black plastic. After further investigation it appears the vacuum motor had disintegrated. I called customer service only to find out that my warranty had expired a couple months ago. He then proceeded to tell me that there are no replacement parts available for this model and the only thing I could do would be to purchase a new unit. When I asked him to transfer me to a supervisor I got put on hold then ended up back at the original phone tree. Great customer service!! A quick internet search shows this is a common problem with this model. This is a very expensive unit and should last way longer than it did. It is obvious a design flaw. Please do not buy this model!!!! You will regret it.

I was on the fence due to the reviews but so far so good. The only mayor cons are... its a little bit noisy and it does not get thru a high pile carpet (it just gets stuck after a few minutes in the carpet). Other than that, good performance and i like how the floor feels clean ALL the time.

We have an art studio with a main room of approximately 1800 square feet. The machine is consistently getting caught on things - we thought that it would either go over or if it couldn't go over, it would bump and turn around. We have some low level mats and it will get caught on the edge and then it makes it difficult for the breeva to clean because so much dirt is left on the floor.

We purchased the Roomba S9+ bundle with the Braava Jet M6. We are very happy with both. The S9+ is heavier than our first Roomba but also seems to have more suction. The M6 has a small cleaning path and takes about three hours to clean our 2600 sq ft home and two tanks of cleaning solution. The customer service at IRobot.com can't be beat. Always good service and prompt.

We have two German Shepherds and three cats. Vacuuming had to be done at least every other day. With our roomba, it vacuums every day on a schedule. And after it created the map we can even use voice commands with our Google assistant to send it to spot clean areas!

Has a lot of good suction power and mapping features are good, only couple things I would improve is on my s9+ the brava jet gets annoying to re fill so I would have the base station also be able to re fill the mop also my roomba struggles to detect obstacles like power cords or dog toys sometimes and gets tangled and stuck. How ever with the strong suction power it picks up my dogs Siberian Husky hair really well out of the carpet surprisingly and doesn't get tangled in the robot at all. You can definitely notice how well it cleans

I've had my S9, M6 combination for a month now. I'm very pleased with the ease of setup and scheduling. They work in tandem extremely well.
