The pillow has an area that is covered in what looks like gold paint. It's stiff and unattractive and "painted on" in an irregular fashion. I didn't see the gold on the photo.

Love the design but threads in design are already unraveling! Disappointing considering the cost.
We are very happy with this! It's our first duvet cover and down comforter, and we will never go back to a regular comforter again! It just feels so quality. It washes very well, the embroidered detail is beautiful and has not frayed. I'll never understand why the decorative pillows to match are so expensive, we were able to find ones at wal-mart to go to with the style.
