I have to admit, after reading the horror stories about "Lint", "Seams Coming Loose", and "Spotting" I was planned on returning these towels and try a different brand. But you know what, I figured I'd give them a try anyway. I bought a set of six, in the color Basil. Washing: Instead of using a home machine for the first time, I decided to visit my local laundry mat and use a thirty pound front loader. Don't forget ladies and gentlemen, these towels are very heavy when wet, and if you wash them in a small drum washing machine, I can see added stress on the material which would cause seems to unravel. These towels, considering their thickness, need room to move. I used regular laundry detergent, a tiny bit of fabric softener. The water temperature was set to cold, and at normal cycle. Remember fabric softener will make the towels# less absorbent. I have read where people have used vinegar to acquire softness, and use Baking Soda to eliminate odor. Naturally, these towels are new, I so I highly doubt you would need to use the Baking Soda for a while. Drying: I placed them in a large capacity dryer and set the temperature to Permanent Press. Even though the label says delicate, I used a higher heat because it would take a longer period of time under the lower temperature. I than removed the towels, and I did not see one sign of lint. As I folded the towels, I did check the seams and for loose threads. One hand towel had one loose thread, but it was just excess thread. No seem was coming apart. I've used my towels# and there are no signs of lint. My only guess is that some colors perform better than others. Granted, it supposed to be the same cotton and just a different color dye is added. Ah, the mysteries of manufacturing.
I am retracting my first review on this product. I own six complete sets of towels since June 5th, 2015. Each week I change my set, therefore I have washed the six compete sets once a month, equaling a total of five washings. Today, I washed my six sets, and noticed on the one hand towel, and the bath towel, the side seams have frayed. This is unacceptable for a product within this price range. I expect quality from the manufacturer, not foreign slap together junk. I will never purchase a towel set from Kenneth Cole Collection again.

These towels were a wedding shower gift. These towels are the best towels. They are a good size and extremely soft. They are worth the money!
I bought these towels for our beach house and found them to be an excellent choice. These towels are washed on an average of 3 times a week and have maintained their color and new appearance.
very pleased with the quality and softness of the towels - have already been washed/dried, came out great - only wish I had purchased sooner when more colors were still available (love what I got but would be buying more if still available!)
I purchased the towels because they were soft and thick. The first time I washed them they left a lot of lint behind in the lint catcher. When drying with the towels, they do not absorb the water. The towel feels wet on the surface and your body also feels wet for a short while. After four washings, there is less lint, but I still need to wash the towels separately from my other clothes. The binding on one of the hand towels came loose and raveled. Now I find that I can't replace it because the dark khaki color is no longer available.
the towels i bought were large soft and thick, the best thing about them , they were on sale, they did'nt have the hand towels that i wanted so they ordored them for me and shiped them to my home , and the shipping was free
Love the Kenneth Cole Collection of towels. Bought antique white and latte sets. Comes out of dryer full and fluffy. Sorry to see it go..
i have used the Kenneth Cole Reaction towels from BB&B for a few years. They are softer and plusher than any of the other brands they carry. I have 4 bathrooms so I have a lot of them. They keep their plushness after many washings. I am so sad they they have decided to discontinue carrying them. The Wamsutta line that replaces the Kenneth Cole Reaction line is just not as nice. Please reconsider and keep the Kenneth Cole Reaction line. They are one of the best you carry.
I got them as a gift and pre washed them before using and they already were coming undone. Thankfully I called our store and they said to just bring them in. Disappointed because we loved the color
