Kikkerland® Easy Folding Step Stool in White

I use this step to get up onto my elevated bed, and as a footstool when I'm sitting on the edge of my bed. I am a BIG lady, and this little step stool stands up to its claim, and supports me without a creak. It stays open as it should, and folds closed easily. My only wish is that it might have more substantial rubberized feet to stay put on the floor.

I bought this a week ago. Tonight, it shattered into a dozen pieces while my daughter was standing on it. My daughter is 9 and weighs 78 pounds. She hit her head on the counter and we are worried that she may have a concussion. This should not have happened!

I bought this stool last month for my daughter to get onto her lofted college bed. As she stepped onto it to get into bed the stool broke and her foot went through the stool which caused her to fall backwards. Her leg was badly scraped by the broken plastic parts and she just missed hitting her head on the desk. She is way under the weight limit and only used it for its intended purpose, to get into bed. Its a dangerous product! Apparently my first review I submitted that was only about what occurred during the incident and my experience with customer service was not ok with the reviewer so they wouldn't post it. No profanity either just what occurred. What happened to freedom of speech. I will not shop from BBB ever again. I also filed a report with the CPSC. Check the other 1 star reviews. Same issues. My daughter is young and she will survive but if it were someone older they could get seriously injured.

What makes it worse is that I contacted BBB and they were no help at all. They told me she needs to go to the store to return it. I informed them that she is a college student and has no transportation to get to the store other than Uber. The cost of Uber would be more than the cost of the stool. Besides the fact that the closest store is 17 miles away. I asked if she could mail it back to them and the customer service rep said, " No, she needs to take it back to the store." I asked if there was another option and she said, “no she needs to take it back in person.” Why would my daughter spend more money just to take it back. Not once did the rep ask if my daughter was ok or if she was injured. She just kept saying, “ I understand, I understand” but she did nothing to help our situation. I filed a report with the CPSC. I hope no one else gets injured. My daughter is young and she will survive but if it were someone older it might be a very different story. Also, because of the customer service, I will not be purchasing anything from this store again.

I’m too old to be climbing but this gives me a little bit of a boost. Love it

Lightweight, folds easily and takes up minimum space. Sturdy and supports up to 300 #.

I needed something to help me get up onto our very tall bed, and this did the trick. I weigh 260 pounds, and this stool holds up perfectly. I'd like for it to have better traction on the bottom to prevent sliding, but that's easily remedied.
