I have been using Kilner for years & their quality is bar none. I use these 12 ounce jars for sugar, baking soda, corn starch, baking powder, etc. The wire is a sturdy stainless steel. The glass is heavy & thick. The seal is secure. Give Kilner a try. You won't be disappointed!
So I love the style of these, but they all seem to have the same problem... right where the lid is closing and hooks to the clip part, the glass is chipping away by tiny pieces every single time you open the jar or lock it... i at first couldn't understand where is the glass coming from... I found pieces of glass in my coffee, on the counter, etc. Than i examined the jars and found that the metal ring around the jar that holds the clip, is what putting pressure onto the jar and the glass slightly chips away every time i use the clip to lock or unlock the jar.

Good seal really well
I use this for my homemade vanilla extract which I have to shake daily. I previously bought "airtight" bottles from an online restaurant supply store and it leaked my precious product everywhere. But this is absolutely 100% airtight and leak proof. I loved it so much I purchased more.
Like really, I can't see it. I can't touch it. Nothing. Notta. Why, you ask? Because its been "awaiting carrier pickup" for over a week. I would also love to cancel this order, but this website will not allow it, says I'm past "the remorse period". Ya think? How about I'm "remorseful for buying 3 of these" and I'm "remorseful for expecting /believing that they would be here even close to being on time "delivery .
This jar is amazing, keeps odors in. I use this to pickled veggies alot. Didn't give it a 5 star because when you flip the jar upside down, water actually leaks out. But overall this is a good jar for pickling.
I needed jar for my vanilla essence that did not leak, and this did the job. I bought "leakproof" mason jars from a restaurant supply company and they leaked so bad. This is excellent
Wow, these jars are very well constructed ! I needed to organize my kitchen, and when I received these jars in the mail (very, very well wrapped!!) I couldn't believe how nice they are. I learned later Kilner is a great name in canning jars. I'm using to store sugar, flour, and pasta.
One was broke and both were defective on the bottom. I’m still waiting for my refund ! It’s a shame, these would have been perfect. Just looked like a bad batch. These should be bought in person.
I looked for bottles that would serve a purpose and look good enough to leave on the counter. I am completely satisfied with my choice.
