Purchased this and really love it. Works great, easy touse, and is my go Processor. Light weight and suctions to counter. All in all a very good product.
I've owned mine for two weeks, and the third time I went to use it, the processor started smoking! I've loved the food (have tried hummus and salsa), but the second time I tried making hummus, you could see white smoking drifting out of the base. I've reached out to Kitchenaid, and I'll update this review if I hear something back, I might have just gotten a defective unit, but I'm worried to use it again.

I haven’t had a new smaller food processor for a long time. Purchased this one and was amazed at the safety of it. Love the locking mechanism and just lifting the bowl up. So simple. Enjoy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really love this food processor. I was concerned about the noise level since my previous processor was so loud. This processor is much quieter. Easy to use. Attaching the bowl is very easy. Simple to lock the lid. All attachments store in the bowl when not being used. Everything I have used it for so far has turned out great.

The machine works well but when slicing, some items get caught between the blade and the cover. It doesn't stop the machine just makes for extra effort. My complaint is the feeder accessories are not captured in the top tube and will dump out if you forget to remove them. If they were unbreakable that would just be a nuisance but they break easily on our tile floor. I've replaced them twice in 4 years and really need to do so again. I would recommend the product but the new owner needs to know about the feed tube issue. Resolution is easy. Mold the parts from Lexan or add a latch to the feed tube.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace an earlier model that the plastic latch inside the handle kept breaking. That was a poor design... this one is much better. I haven't used it a lot but so far I am pleased with it. The grater/slicer disc does not get everything and I end up doing some pieces of cheese by hand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So thankful to have a large capacity food processor to use, especially during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays! Making pie crust is a breeze using the pulse feature and adding items down the chute a little bit a time. "Cutting - In" sugar and butter is a quick with the pulse feature and adding items down the chute. The Bowl, blade and top come apart easily making clean-up so easy to do.

I love the food processor although it is way to large for me. I should have purchased a smaller one. I have only used it a very few times. Is it possible that you would send me a smaller one and I can return this one to you in exchange for a size that I will actually use on a more daily basis. I was out of the county and state due to our Florida hurricane quite a bit and just never got to return the product in exchange for another size. I would appreciate your feedback.
