[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off.. I never give five star reviews to anything . Why? I usually find an annoying design flaw . ESPECIALLY when it comes to the kitchen appliances. We’ve all tossed expensive , bulky, heavy .”bread machines”. I never used mine, and I’m not that great of a baker, either, so I gave up on bread entirely. This accessory to my artisan stand mixer is a game changer: mix, proof and bake all in one accessory? I thought.. it’s too expensive to toss…should I?. This thing is great design. The ceramic allows the bread to steam internally creating a soft fluffy bread with a crunchy exterior. The shape is the key, I’m guessing , because the shape of bread loaves make even my bread look delicious and round like a loaf from the bakery. I love that it has the lid for proofing, and there’s just the one bowl to have around, and clean up after baking. Making wayyy too much bread now. :)
Used it for the first time last night. At the 30-min mark, I had to use a screwdriver to separate the bowl from the lid. Some of the top was stuck to the bowl part when I pulled it away, but not too bad. Then when it was done, it was absolutely glued to the bottom, I had to cut it straight across the bottom to get it off. It was super yummy bread, but a total hassle. I’m going to keep experimenting but I’m not impressed so far. After soaking the base/lid overnight, it wasn’t burnt on the bottom, just thoroughly baked on.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m very pleased with my product. I can make bread to save my life…however…I’ve come up with a couple of ‘passable’ loaves since purchasing this. I am nothing but stubborn…and I’m sure I will eventually produce a great product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ordered 19/12/22 and was ready for pick up early January 2023 Made about 4 loaves in the 2 weeks following which were lovely and consumed by the family readily However it cracked and has been sent back to be replaced So would like to have used it more before l can provide a detailed review !!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'll admit I was a little concerned after reading a couple of poor reviews about the bread bowl. I realize now that these folks just didn't follow the instructions. If you follow the guide then you'll love this bowl, as well! - I especially love the high sides and use this bowl almost exclusively now because of that - I've used the lid as a sort of baking "stone" - The cinnamon roll bread is especially fun and delicious! If you enjoy baking, you'll enjoy this bowl!

The Good: I'm not a good cook, but my first 5 attempts at making bread came out beautifully using this. I used a slightly different recipe from the NYT like all the other "easiest bread recipes" you can find online. So for that I think this is a great product. Unfortunately the bad is a deal breaker: The bowl and lid need to be non-stick. If you try to flour there inside of the bowl, the flour burns and sticks hard, requiring steel wool to remove, even after soaking overnight. Even if placing the dough on parchment on the lid/ now base during baking, if you don't flour the bowl, the bread will stick to the sides of the bowl/now being used as a lid to bake. No matter how you cut it, the usefulness of the item is eliminated. Either you have burnt flour and a great deal of hard scrubbing or bread stuck to the sides requiring hard scrubbing. It's a bummer. I was really into baking bread but after 5 passes, I got tired of scouring and scrubbing it clean. Now I get excited at the idea of making bread, but the thought of all the scrubbing shuts that down fast.

I bought the bread bowl for my daughter for Christmas and one for myself. We made a loaf that evening for Christmas dinner- all nine people raved about the bread. SUPER EASY to use! The classic boule recipe that comes with the machine cost about 75 cents to make using premium flour and tastes way better than store bakery bread! I recommend using parchment for baking. Also, the first loaf we didn’t clean the bowl between the first and second risings. The second loaf, I did clean between those. I definitely preferred that as it was much easier to clean a little dough between those risings than dried on dough after baking. If you’re debating this bread machine, stop. Buy it…truly it was so easy and fantastic bread!!! One additional note, I have the scale & sifter attachment and it is AMAZING as well…used it to make this bread also!
