[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this coffee grinder as an upgrade to my 6 year old Capresso Infinity and have been very impressed by the extensiveness of grind settings. I read some reviews that said it does not get coarse enough for their applications, but those reviews never mentioned the micro-adjustment feature if you pull out the top burr which allows you to tune your grind even further (these machines come with an instruction manual for a reason, people...). Additionally, the machine is incredibly quiet for a burr coffee grinder. As someone who worked as a barista for three years, been in the world of craft coffee for the past seven years, and has used a litany of different coffee grinders, I can say this is definitely worth your money for the majority of your at-home coffee applications. As a side note with all burr coffee grinders: Please do not store your beans in the hopper longer than one day, the beans oil off with time and the greater the amount of these coffee oils in your grinder, the lower your grinder's lifespan will be.
I bought one of these based on all the positive reviews I've seen, so yes, it does: 1) Look really cool 2) Have a quieter grinding noise 3) Have NO static cling 4) Store many beans in its hopper 5) Have a very complex set of grind setting options 5a One of which I can't understand why they did it the way they did BUT IT DOESN'T GRIND COFFEE WELL! I use mostly drip coffee which requires a medium grind, but when set on medium (perc), it produces a fine grind resulting in bitter coffee. Setting on the coarsest grind results in a medium/fine grind - THERE IS NO WAY TO GET A GOOD MEDIUM GRIND LET ALONE A COARSE/MEDIUM GRIND! But, to be fair, I tried setting it on 1 (coarsest) and the coffee was still on the bitter side. (There is a fine adjust setting, but it just makes the grind finer...and not by much). So I'm at a loss as to how this grinder got all these good reviews. Oh, and to be sure, I ordered another grinder and, Walla, same results. Therefore I have to believe this is a basic design issue. I really wanted to like this grinder and felt really bad about returning both, but back they go. As added info, the attached picture shows the coarsest grind from my Baratza Encore in the upper left and the medium grind from the Baratza in the lower left. The four on the right show the KitchenAid set at MAX course (1) and other settings. As you can see, this grinder has a problem grinding anything but medium/fine grind.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought it a month ago and it has been great for different types of brewing. I haven’t had any problems dialing my code por French press and drip methods. I am not an expert in espresso making but it has done a good job on that too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Grinds clean and is very quiet, grinds are consistent and no need to measure set it for the amount you want and you're done.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this in February to replace my other grinder. This is great. Much quieter and CLEANER. Grinds pour out of container smoothly and completely, leaving the container clean. This product is definitely as advertized.

I had this grinder for 3 months, and all of a sudden when grinding the same dose as always the weight of my double shot espresso change from 19 gram to 13 without adjusting any settings. The grind is almost a powder causing clogging in my KitchenAid espresso machine. I clean everything and no improvement. no one online knows why it happens. And I have been on hold for hours with no help.

So, take a look at the 1-star reviews...that's where it matters - I didn't. The ER2 error is legit. Worked great for a couple weeks, then it started...the ER2. Starts the grind, then 2 seconds later, ER2 and it stops. Twist the bean bin to reset it, start the grind and 9 times out of 10, ER2. Did the troubleshooting (clean the burrs) numerous times and it doesn't work. Even more interesting is that even when the beans have run out and it's grinding nothing, it'll still give the error...weird. So anyway, after waiting on the phone for over an hour and being disconnected several times, live chat that doesn't work because they're "too busy" (or once you tell them you're there for the ER2, they bump you...maybe, who knows...) you're only recourse is email or file an online request through the warranty request. Did that...three times before someone responded. Then they wanted the same information so they could register it and get started!? It's already registered! Responded with that in a bit of heated response. Couple days later, out of the blue, they said they were sending a replacement with a return label for the old one within 7-10 days. 3 weeks later, it's here. So let's see how this one goes. It's a slightly different color and does sound different, so perhaps they changed something - who knows. Still have another year to play this game. Again, it's awesome when it works...

It worked great while it lasted. It was probably the best grinder I've ever owned. However, 1 year and 3 months to the day, it stopped working. It won't grind anymore. I've taken it apart and cleaned it, and it just continues to make a motor spinning but no grinding sound. Of course, this would happen after the one year warranty is over like everything else you buy these days.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking at high end Italian machines. The ease of use for all sizes of grinds turned me towards the KitchenAid. KitchenAid has created an attractive, easy-to-use product that grinds well.
