We went through 3 different ovens before settling on this one. We tried the Ninja DT201 & the Crux Artisan 14934. Neither of the others were bad (although the Crux was a little noisy), but we decided to go with the Kitchen Aid because it was simple, clean, looked nice on the counter, and took less space. We liked the "idea" of having tons of options and features, which the other two provided. However, when it boiled down to it, we simply needed the oven to toast, air fry, and warm things up. The functions are simple and intuitive, the quality is top notch, and it "just works". I figured I'd write this review, in the event that anyone is looking for the same thing we were. We simply wanted to upgrade the old toaster oven, and get the air fry option with it.
I have had this toaster oven/air fryer for about two weeks. I was not completely convinced with the performance as I found it to be more troublesome than having separate appliances, one toaster oven, and one air fryer. When toasting bread it was quick to burn and when air frying my food I had to keep a close eye on my items and keep moving them around. Since the lack of space on my counter-top, I thought to myself for the time being it was ok. HOWEVER, I was in the process of air frying baby potatoes two nights ago when the glass on the front of the oven completely exploded. Thank goodness I was nowhere near the oven as it very much could have done serious damage, as I am prone to peer into the glass several times throughout the cooking process. Please be aware when buying this appliance there is a possibility this could happen.

I bought this almost a year ago. I wanted to save space in my kitchen and I don't want to buy a separate air fryer. Oven and other features are great and working as intended except for the airfryer. Buy an air fryer separately if you want to achieve the how the airfryer cooks. Otherwise great oven.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I only use convection oven.Air fryer creates smoke if splatters from grease hit heating element causing smoke alarms to go off. Toasts darker on top side. Must clean thoroughly after each use but difficult because of he size.
