We went through 3 different ovens before settling on this one. We tried the Ninja DT201 & the Crux Artisan 14934. Neither of the others were bad (although the Crux was a little noisy), but we decided to go with the Kitchen Aid because it was simple, clean, looked nice on the counter, and took less space. We liked the "idea" of having tons of options and features, which the other two provided. However, when it boiled down to it, we simply needed the oven to toast, air fry, and warm things up. The functions are simple and intuitive, the quality is top notch, and it "just works". I figured I'd write this review, in the event that anyone is looking for the same thing we were. We simply wanted to upgrade the old toaster oven, and get the air fry option with it.
I have had this toaster oven/air fryer for about two weeks. I was not completely convinced with the performance as I found it to be more troublesome than having separate appliances, one toaster oven, and one air fryer. When toasting bread it was quick to burn and when air frying my food I had to keep a close eye on my items and keep moving them around. Since the lack of space on my counter-top, I thought to myself for the time being it was ok. HOWEVER, I was in the process of air frying baby potatoes two nights ago when the glass on the front of the oven completely exploded. Thank goodness I was nowhere near the oven as it very much could have done serious damage, as I am prone to peer into the glass several times throughout the cooking process. Please be aware when buying this appliance there is a possibility this could happen.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like all of the different features that can be done in one piece of equipment vs having 4 different appliances. I was expecting the tray inside to be a little larger than it is but it serves the purpose well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got it for Christmas and love it. The only bad thing is that it came missimg the Broiler pan rack. I have been trying to find a way to tell Kitchenaid to see if i can get one.. Tried on line, by phone and letter. Cant find a real person to talk to.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For 47 years I’ve always owned a regular toaster oven but after using “fancy” one at daughter’s house I just had to get one. I did my research and found Kitchenaid toaster oven/ convection/ air fryer met ALL my needs. I love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice looking product and it seems to work well. Much slower airfryer performace than a dedicated airfryer, but that’s to be expected I suppose. I thought the quality and overall craftsmanship was a bit below expectation for a KitchenAid product. The start button is not installed and aligned properly as received and the mode dual has a gritty feel when turning it. KitchenAid, you can do better with your quality!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Kitchenaid Toaster oven has soooo many features. We recently had water damage in our kitchen and needed a temporary kitchen while the demo happened. On top of using it as an air fryer for snacks and chicken nuggets regularly, we also baked biscuits, cookies, casseroles and pizzas regularly. The reheat option is great for left overs as well. The tray and racks are much easier to use than the air fryer basket Ive had in the past. Of note, it did trip my circuit breaker from time to time.
