KitchenAid® Ice Cream Maker Attachment in White

I bought this a month ago after I saw a TV personality making homemade gelato. Oh my goodness, this thing is so easy to use and what a cost savings it is to make your own ice cream/gelato. I highly recommend this attachment. You will love it and will impress all your friends.

I bought this item 2 days ago super excited to make some homemade vanilla bean ice cream- this product broke on the first try, is a faulty design, and just overall, works really poorly. Once the sides become too frozen ( and you are supposed to keep the bowl frozen) the attachments fling off- and I made sure that my kitchenaid was compatible!! This thing took paint off of my kitchenaid and.. ugh! Just not the quality I’m expecting out of kitchenaid. Will be returning.

Received the ice cream maker as a X-Mas gift. Upon my second use, the plastic drive assembly shattered into multiple pieces, completely contaminating my custard. This wasn't my first time using the attachment, and followed the directions to a T! Definitely disappointed in the cheap quality plastic used in the making of this Kitchenaid product.

Unfortunately, the hub assembly is made of plastic. It broke while churning a custard ice cream base. Very disappointed.

I honestly don’t think this attachment is super friendly for bowl lift mixers. Especially with the dasher and hub assembly made out of plastic. My assembly broke right at the start of my third batch - plastic pieces in the custard too so I couldn’t repurpose it for anything

I bought my ice cream attachment on January 3rd of 2023. I went to go use it February 12th and the top section that slides onto the stand mixer, it cracked when I turned it on to churn. I cannot find a replacement for this singular part. I refuse to purchase the entire attachment set. Very sad because my partner absolutely loves my homemade ice cream and sorbet. Two very sad people.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wasn’t sure about purchasing, as we aren’t a huge ice cream eating family. However, I’m so glad I did! We use this bowl often for not only decadent ice cream, but healthy ‘clean’ versions and also fruit sorbets. So simple to whip up a quick ice cream treat. Our bowl lives permanently in the freezer so it’s always ready to go.
