We've made four batches of ice cream using the included recipe , 1 Oreo cookie, 1 Moose tracks, and two strawberry. Very happy with the results.
I have had two of these, both of which have inexplicably developed hairline cracks and leaked blue fluid all over the place. In either case, the unit was treated very carefully and not dropped, bumped or otherwise damaged. The first time around, the unit was replaced by Kitchen Aid. This second time, I think I will have to go with another brand and get a standalone ice cream maker. I am seriously wondering why this product has not been recalled. The many reports of it leaking are easily found online.

This is attachment makes great ice cream however it’s very hard to get it off of the base. Mine got stuck and then when it finally released it cracked and some of the freezing liquid inside leaked out. Now it doesn’t get very cold & I cannot really use it.

I have several reliable KA attachments that I would swear by, however, this is not one of them. Do not purchase this product. I successfully made ice cream three times. The forth attempt, it leaked blue liquid all over the freezer. Me and my family were very disappointed. And now there is yet another useless item on its way to the landfill.

Got the shipment couple days ago. I Followed through the instructions, at the step where I put my mixer on STIR as instructed. And when I was pouring my ingredients, I heard a loud breaking sound and the part broke and came off.
