One cannot cook w cast iron like it os teflon The skill our grandmothers knew 1) heat the pan med never high 2) then heat the oil 3) then cook w proper utensils wood and silicone never metal 4) clean correctly so you don't scratch the enamel Any le creuset or staub enamel covered cast iron can be used w minimal clean up If issues happen a little vinegar in a warm pan releases Or , with a dinner --a splash of wine releases the fond and makes a great addition of flavored sauce If one uses a new tool - then one needs to read up watch youtube go to a cooking class and learn how to use the tool ...... !!! One cannot buy something you have never used and make up a way or use methods you use w other pans! One cannot scratch the enamel and expect it to work There is a proper way to clean as well
i'm going to repeat other reviews.....the skillet is seemingly nice but there is no amount of butter or oil that will prevent half your food from sticking like glue to the bottom of this. half the meal is lost and takes forever to scrape off food and to clean.

Tried eggs, pancakes & chicken but all 3 burned into the pan impossible to remove even after soaking 24 hrs in water after it cooled. Plenty of olive oil in the pan before cooking. Don't know what else to do but now can't return it. Ouch...
This purchase was totally worth it! The food cooks so well, and I love using it. Would recommend!
The ease of use in comparison to regular cast iron (non-enameled) is remarkable. So easy to use and maintain. It can still be used with very high heat for searing, etc. The only real downside is the cost, but I believe it is worth it, especially over time.

Really not worth it.
Behaves a lot like cast iron. I use quite a lot of oil. Clean-up involves wiping with a paper towel and a short soak and swish with a plastic scrubber. Lower heat than cast iron and no rusting. It might stick with scrambled eggs or other sticky stuff.
I have found food sticks to the pan even with the use of olive oil. Eggs especially stick and are difficult to cook in this pan. I did have good results with ground turkey when cooked with olive oil.
The even cooking and perfect searing with this pan has made me a master chef!
